Pros: There has not been a sequel. Cons: Basically everything.
Eddie Murphy became famous for his comedy movies. I have seen and enjoyed some of them while others weren't as good. It has seemed like most of his movies in the last several years have been more silly than everything with the exception of ...

Pros: Eddie Griffin has some funny scenes Cons: Not funny!
Eddie Murphy’s Norbit is the worst kind of comedy, not because it is offensive or relies mostly on one joke told over and over again, but because it is not funny. There’s an old saying in Hollywood that ‘You’re only as good as your last picture’ ...

Pros: Really not much Cons: Literally everything
I am not entirely sure what drew me to see Norbit. Not sure if it was the idea of Eddie Murphy playing multiple characters again. Or the idea that I thought I would get a few good laughs out of it. Or the fact that it was the only movie ...

Pros: Eddie Murphy, a few chuckles here and there Cons: plot, immaturity in script, predictability, and overdone stereotypes
Surrounding the idea that sometimes there is a mistake so big that you become engulfed within its forces, Norbit (Eddie Murphy) made the mistake of his life when he married a wicked tyrant from another world, Rasputia (Also Murphy). From just a small boy ...

Pros: Not much, Murphy as three characters is a good gag, but you've seen it before Cons: Everything, including the story and the characters.
There comes a time in every comedian's life when they "Jump The Shark", become too "old" (intellectually) to be funny, or get so taken with their own hilarity that they don't realize they are no longer funny(see Chevy Chase). There was a time when Eddie ...

Pros: the popcorn I ate at the theater Cons: offensive & politically incorrect humor, just plain distasteful
One often doubts how movies such as Norbit get to be released. It could have been very good if they just used the character Norbit. Instead Eddie Murphy decides to use similar characters – his typical formulaic stuff that has made him successful in ...

Pros: Charming; touching; great cast Cons: Plot holes; too bawdy for its own good
After being abandoned as a child, Norbit finds solace at the Chinese Food and Orphanage shop, runned by the eccentric Mr. Wong (Eddie Murphy). While an outcast among most of the other kids, only one of them, Kate, is accepting of him. Sadly, both are ...

Pros: Some of the actors are appealing, minus Murphy in this one. Cons: Strong language, over usage of strong language, partial nudity, sexual content for a PG-13 rating.
Synopsis: Norbit is the story of a young outcast orphan boy who grows up in an orphanage. His only contemporary friend in youth was a sweet girl named Kate. Through fate, Kate gets adopted and Norbit is a lone outcast once again. He is later ...

Pros: No cuss words and very "clean" for an Eddie Murphy movie. Cons: Not funny and not worth spending the money on either the theater or the dvd.
Today I packed the kids up and we went to the Dollar Movies to see Norbit. After seeing it I am very glad that I did not waste the money on the regular movie theater. This movie is very disappointing compared to other Eddie Murphy movies and the only ...

Pros: The ending had finally arrived Cons: Norbit
During Black History Month what better movie to come out just in time than Norbit? It starred Eddie Murphy, a relatively successful African-American as a talented....everybody! Aside from his Norbit character, he dressed up as a fat lady (Mrs. Norbit) ...

Pros: funny Cons: horrible plot
The plot in this movie was horrible and although the preview may have seemed better the plot was just not good. The laughs were there occasionally but the movie was not good as a whole. The comedy centers around Norbit, Eddie Murphy, and his childhood ...

Pros: Thandie Newton and Cuba Gooding Jr. Cons: everything
I have loved all of Eddie Murphy's movies from 48 hours to both Nutty Professor movies. The only exception is Pluto and this movie. When I saw the previews for this movie I figured it would have me rolling on the ground laughing like The Nutty ...

Pros: Funny Cons: Using JESUS name in vain
I thought the movie Norbit overall was a funny movie. Some people find this movie not to be that good but I disagree. I think that this movie is a great movie to watch to escape for a hour or two, and to just laugh. It wasn't the most funny movie ever ...

Very Funny
by pecola ,Feb 22 '07
Pros: I loved Marlon Wayons as the dance instructor. Cons: The plot was a little weak, but the "funny" made up for it.
I loved it. It was light and entertaining. I loved how Eddie Murphy was able to play an Old Asian Man, An overweight arrogant woman, and a hopeless nerd. It had your obvious "Fat Jokes" but it was still funny. It was nice to see a movie that wasn't so serious. They sis a great job of showing the various characters that Murphy play interacting with each other..(How did they do it?) I think it is a must see...

Pretty Much a Waste of Time
by angiehida ,Feb 21 '07
Pros: Some little cheap funny parts Cons: Where do I start?
I saw this movie, expecting it to be funny and heartwarming. But it turned out to be plain out BAD. The scenes jumped from here to there, there were annoying parts, and it was NOT that funny. I did not like it. There were very little parts that were funny, and the music was OK, but other than that, it was a bad movie. I do not recommend it.
