~~NUTRAMIGEN~~SPECIALIZED NUTRITION FOR PROTEIN SENSITIVITY

by melissasrn, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Mar 14 '02
Pros: Nutritionally complete infant formula for those babies experiencing special feeding problems.
Cons: Very expensive in price; should be used with the advice of a pediatrician only.
When new parents choose not to breastfeed for whatever reason, iron fortified milk based starter formulas are often recommended and tolerated well by many infants with no problems. But sometimes feeding problems occur, resulting in a very unhappy baby....

Saved our baby

by LisaDo Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Nov 26 '00
Pros: Was the only formula our son could eat - saved his life in my opinion.
Cons: EXPENSIVE!! Bad smell
Our son was given Similac in the hospital when he was born. He was fine for about four weeks when he suddenly couldn't keep anything down anymore. We were told that it was probably just a virus and it would run it's course in a few days.

Makes You Wish You Had Breast Fed

by LRGuis Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Aug 15 '00
Pros: Good for babies with protein allergies
Cons: Expensive, hard to locate, odor, stains
Enfamil Nutramigen is a formula parents will find themselves using without choice. It's not that you can have a bad opinion (epinion) of it and therefore move on to something else. No, when you get to this point--as many parents can commiserate...

Pros: tolerable for many milk allergy infants, can reduce colic
Cons: EXPENSIVE

Pros: worked and my daughter could keep it down
Cons: ouch, a hefty price tag and no reason for it
You need a second mortgage to cover the cost!

In 1989 when I gave birth to my first daughter I was given samples of formula in the hospital. I was breastfeeding, but during those first few hectic weeks I found the need to make a bottle every...
