Great All-Around Sunglasses

by swanny1172 , Jun 16 '06
Pros: Good looks, durable, great lens quality
Cons: Frame color may wear off
Overview I am somewhat of a sunglass snob and have owned everything from Ray Bans to Revos. I wanted a new pair of sport glasses that I could wear golfing, boating, biking and hiking. I ended up settling on the Oakley Half Jacket and I have been ...

Pleasant surprise

by rookshark , Feb 08 '05
Pros: lightweight, great periphery vision, lower entry price (for Oakley), many options
Cons: still expensive sunglasses for some, otherwise...none
Let me start off being honest. I bought these glasses not because I saw them and had to have them. I had a pair of four year old eye jackets, and when I called customer service for help with parts for them, I was told they no longer had parts, but ...

Light and Tight

by nikefreak Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jan 25 '04
Pros: Supreme Lightweight, Crystal-Clear Optics, Able to change lense colors to match varying light conditions
Cons: Changing lenses takes practice, should come with hard case and extra lenses
This is the last pair of Oakleys I have bought, previously purchasing the Juliets and C-Wires. These are very cool, with the premise of being able to change the lenses to adapt to any light condition. The frame is made of super-light material named O ...

Performed great throughout a year in Iraq

by nd_redleg , Apr 03 '05
Pros: Light, comfortable, durable, good coverage of field of vision. Outstanding optics.
Cons: Styling not for the timid. Pricey. A little wide for narrow faces.
I bought these as I was getting ready to deploy to Iraq for a year and wanted a durable pair of sunglasses that would perform well. Although Oakley products are EXPENSIVE, I figured it was worth it if I would be wearing them every day for a year. You ...

Oakley Half Jacket

by thelaxman , Jul 28 '04
Pros: Sleek, Lighweight, Stay on your face no matter what
Cons: Expensive, nose pieces come off easily, long delivery time
I just recently purchased a pair of Oakley Half Jacket sunglasses. All I can say about them is wow! I got my pair with an Rx prescription in them and they were polarized. There are many features about this frame that make it so good. Dual ...

I'll never buy cheap sunglasses again.

by gurp13 , Jan 08 '06
Pros: Stylish and very high quality. Interchangeable lenses. Lightweight, high performance optics.
Cons: Lens changing can be challenging, especially for those lacking hand strength.
I love Oakley sunglasses. This is my third pair. I'm an avid cycler, both road and mountain biking. Recently, to stay in shape, I've taken to riding when the light out is dim or even when it's dark out. As I wear contacts, it's just not an option to ...

Great glasses

by setasail , Jun 06 '06
Pros: Easy to change the lens.
Cons: Does not always fit everybody's face.
The Oakley Half Jacket is the best pair of sunglasses I have ever had. The sunglasses are a little bit expensive but the sunglasses are worth it. The sunglasses fit my face perfect but that is just on me, my brother got a pair and they squeezed his head. ...

Stylish, Built to last, Great investment for your eyes

by defora , Apr 12 '05
Pros: Lightweight, durable, interchangeable lenses, sleek design, and very stylish.
Cons: EXPENSIVE, no hard case included.
I just recently broke my Oakley Minutes (which I had owned for about 2 years) and I wanted to try something new. After trying on almost all of the different Oakley styles, I finally chose the half jackets. Why did I pick the half jackets? Well the thing ...

The Perfect Size for Narrow or Smaller Faces

by jcg22 , Oct 12 '03
Pros: Lightweight, sleek, crisp and clear optics.
Cons: Slightly wider frame than really necessary.
A great, lightweight, and extremely versatile pair of sunglasses. The removable lens feature allows you to tailor the glasses to the light conditions encountered. This was a big selling point to me as the Oakley Twenty's I have are also great, but with ...

Good as Gold

by fffernan , Jan 09 '03
Pros: Very Styling, interchangeble lenses, Inexpensive for Oakley
Cons: Plastic Frames, Oakleys are expensive.
So I'll start off by telling you that I bought the midnight blue frames with the 24K(gold) Iridium lenses. When I saw them I had to buy them because of how cool they looked. The 24K lenses is very cool, reminds me of the mirror glasses from Chips but...

Pros: looks, colors, interchangable lense
Cons: none other than the price
i got these sunglasses a while back and i have loved them since. mine were 140, which is moderate for oakley prices but they are worth them, i play baseball and i have gone out to throw and i always wear these on a sunny day. these sunglasses are awesome. if you are in the market for getting a pair of sunglasses, i would get these or any other oakleys.
