Pros: A dinner that will be served fast. You won't be late for a show. Cons: The dinner is served too fast.
My wife and I have been to two of the Ollie's Noodle shops in NYC. The one on 44th Street has a better location for itself in that many more people walk by the doors. It is truly in the heart of Times Square. This one is almost like a cafeteria. It ...
Pros: Big menu, speedy service, reasonable prices, great location Cons: You might feel rushed because of the speed they expedite your meal and check
I’ve walked by Ollie’s Noodle Shop plenty of times in New York City, but never stopped to eat there. There are so many great places to eat in this part of the city. However, since we had eaten at a bunch of other places in the area, we dec ...
Pros: good food, great menu, great location, food arrived quickly Cons: Slightly cramped, ambiance rushed, presentation ok, rushed to pay and leave
The three of us were in Manhattan one evening, killing time before a planned night out with a few friends. I started to get hungry (not unusual), so I suggested that we get something to soothe my rumbling stomach. We were not quite in the mood for...
Pros: Wide selection of noodle dishes, convenient location Cons: Sometimes there is a wait for tables
Ollie's on 68th St. and Broadway couldn't be in a better location. It is right across the street from the Sony Lincoln Square movie complex, which is the best place on the city to see movies, and just half a block from the best Barnes & Noble in the...
Pros: best authentic chinese food outside of chinatown Cons: service can be rushed and pushy
I frequent Ollie's on 68th street but have been to the 44th & 86th st one. The Ollie's on 68th st has the better ambiance and decor. Its much more upscale in decor than most fast food chinese restaurants in NYC and a great casual eating place without...
Outside this place looked shady. It's tucked behind one of those "public spaces" that dot this part of the city. So all you see is people eating out of plastic take-out boxes. But there's actually a great little restaurant tucked in behind there that is...
When I was taken to Ollie's by a friend, I was skeptecal. I thought it would be just another noodle restaurant. I was wrong. I loved this place. First of all, the food was unparalleled. I ordered the moo shoo pork and sesame chicken. I was awstruck at...
Pros: Delicious food and affordable Cons: Menu inconsistencies between the three ollies
When you are going to the movies at Lincoln Square the best place to grab a quick delicious affordable meal is at Ollies. Ollies, located directly across the street from the Lincoln Square Theater sells high quality chinese food and very reasonable...
I personally have to say that this restaurant no doubt should get ten stars for it's delicious food and outstanding drinks and desserts. After visiting Ollie's Noodle Shop I was in awe of the amazing food that I had just ate. As a matter of fact I just...
Pros: look at the design of the place and you almost forget what you're eating Cons: dangerous food, and it doesn't even taste good
Ollie's works a bit of magic on entirely mediocre, 24/7-bullet-proof-glass-in-a-bad-neighborhood Chinese food by surrounding it in wonderfully designed restaurants. They are so successful in using this formula they've got multiple locations.
great food, excellent prices by the_hobbit ,Nov 28 '04
Pros: Fast service, tasty food, excellent value Cons: I've heard the rest rooms are crowded but never had to use them so far!
My wife and I ran into Ollie's on 44th st. quite by accident some time ago and have been back for sit-in meals and takeouts many times since. The place is *always* bustling, but we've never had to wait, the service is *very* fast and food is tasty, plentiful and affordable! I especially like their vegetable dumplings with the delicious sauce, and hot and sour soup - makes a very good meal right there! Do give Ollie's a try if you are in the vicinity.
My boyfriend actually introduced me to Ollies some years ago. We've been to two of their locations but the one by Columbia is near and dear to our hearts. Ollies has the best Chinese food I have ever eaten! The service is great and the prices won't break the bank!
