This is a very powerful little flash that is integrated well with Olympus DSLRs. It seems to cycle a little slow to me but you can spend a fair amount of money to improve this with an external power pack. It has a nice display on the back of the flash. The features are pretty much as listed by Olympus. Mine has done some odd things, especially when cold. It sometimes doesn't fire when it should and sometimes the camera doesn't seem to recognize it's connected at power up, which means it may not work when you are expecting it to. When it is working properly it delivers high quality results with great lighting of the subject. I don't know if the bug is with the camera or the flash but it is an issue to me to pay this kind of money for a flash and have these problems. Until the firmware is fixed I'd consider something else in the way of a flash for the E-500 camera.
