Pros: Small, light, big beautiful photos and a nice size LCD. Cons: No Viewfinder and optical zoom is only a 3x.
The Olympus Stylus 800 is a small camera with a big surprise. First of all it is a weatherproof digital camera; “not waterproof.” The camera can be used outside while it is raining and not underwater. Next you get 8-megapixels of resolution; ...
Pros: Features, image quality, compact, sturdy, weather-proof, large LCD, easy to use, fast, 8MP Cons: Uses expensive xD cards, not particularly cheap

Pros: Small, high quality, high resolution, easy to use, flexible. Cons: Requires costly accoutrement to realize full potential.
I like cameras. That's probably why I have several dozen (no kidding) in working order in my house. The facts that I never throw anything away and have been around for a staggering number of years also contribute to that unwieldy number of picture taking ...
Pros: High ISO with good low-light performance, big clear LCD, manual controls, sturdy small size, weatherproof Cons: Aggressive noise reduction at high ISO, more plastic than Olympus Stylus 300/400, limited resolution modes
Several very good reviewers have already done a great job of outlining the features, specifications and quality of this camera. So for this review I will try and tell you more about why I decided to buy the Olympus Stylus 800, what it's been like using ...
Pros: 2 Rechargable Batteries 8MP No Viewfinder Compact Light Cons: Too many controls and I don't like to read the directions ;)
I had to buy a new camera since my boss borrowed my Kodak and lost it on Halloween night. So he gave me an allowance to purchase another one. I found this one at Sam's Club on a last one clearance sale that had a sale price of under half of the original ...
Pros: Versatile, lightweight, rugged: excellent for novice, equally suited for moderately advanced photographer. Cons: Features packed in compact camera- slightly complex symbols/menus; shortcut menus more than compensate
I have not questioned this investment one time in approx a year. In fact, I am more pleased with this digital camera than any computer, electronic component or gadget I have purchased in the last 20 years. My reaction is slanted by my jump from 3 mega ...
Pros: Great digital camera with many screen settings. Cons: No view finder. PDF instruction manual.
This is my fourth digital camera! My relationship with digital camera's has always left me wanting more until I got to this camera. I've owned the Sony Mavica, low end Kodak Easyshare, which is still in my car in case I need a shot for insurance ...
Pros: Good picture taking. Fair to bad on movie taking. Cons: Movie mode - you'll see small horizontal lines from straight lines in playback.
2/13/08 - The cam worked fine except while taking movies. The video was good but it sounded like something was rolling around inside with the slightest movement of this cam. At first, I thought this was suppose to do this but this (loose part) noise was ...
Pros: Versatile, Compact, Convenient, and Fun! Cons: No problems with this one!
I just got this camera for my birthday and I absolutely love it. It's so compact yet full of possibilities! I also received a very good FujiFilm XD Picture Card with it (256MG). I highly recommend getting that as well. It maximizes your cameras ...
Pros: Many modes, low light ability, small size Cons: The only semi-con is the non-stadard XD card.
I have had a few digital cameras now and have frequently had to upgrade when a newer bigger camera was announced. This camera has lasted me for more than 2 years now and still does everything I need.Maybe when they have a 16 or 20 mega-pixel ...
Pros: Picture quality is stunning, build quality solid, good value for the money Cons: Uses XD picture cards which are a little slower and pricier than SD cards.
I purchased this camera last week since my Sony dsc-w5 was stolen. This is my first non Sony camera purchase and I am very satisfied. The first thing that turned me onto this camera was the eight megapixel ccd and the hypercrystal 2.5 inch screen on the ...
Pros: online help, flash, waterresistant, upto ISO 2500(low light ability), manual controls, size, qualitypics Cons: only 3or4meg resolution at ISO 800/1600/2500.
(2nd time submitting, apologies if this is repeated).
Just a few comments. I've had for two weeks and am very very happy with the stylus 800. The online help for scenes is great for me and others who don't like to look at manuals. All pics, including low light (ISO 2500!) pictures are very good, although I print mostly 4x6. The one 8x10 I printed was very sharp as well (iso 200). I feel like the stylus is the equivalent of a 3 or 4 meg dSLR, all in a shirt-pocket package. I agree that other 8meg cams may have slightly better quality outdoors (from comparing shots online) but this is everything I need and more. Also, it's sweet to have a flash that really works.
I also was considering the fuji f10, but only 5 scene modes (and no manual control) was too limiting for even me.
Pros: EXCELLENT PIC QUALITY, EASY TO USE, FAST PICTURE TAKING. Cons: NO CONS.
THIS IS THE BEST DIGITAL CAMERA I HAVE EVERY PURCHASED AND USED. THE IN-CAMERA RED EYE ELIMINATION IS GREAT!!! PICTURE QUALITY IS AMAZING. IF YOU ARE HESITATING TO BUY THIS CAMERA, DON'T. I WENT FROM A CANON G5 TO THE OLYMPUS STYLUS 800--ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS!!
Pros: compact, many features, splashproof Cons: none
Better than I could say it- check out Steve's Digicams for details. This has the best features of the previous Stylus line and adds some nice enhancements, such as 640 X 480 movie mode, higher ISO support and more:
