Pros: easy to use, no more scooping or liners, privacy for cat Cons: heavy when filled with litter
I've had my cat for 6 years now. We have been through several litter boxes trying to find the best one we could; one that would be easier to use. One day in Petco, we came across the Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box. We looked it over, ...
Pros: Extreme ease of use, sturdy, no plug-in needed, clean and neat. Cons: It's big. Takes more space than a conventional litterbox, but well worth it!
We recently moved from a country setting to town so our cats have to be indoors again after having been outdoor kitties for years. I was NOT looking forward to litterbox duty again, but it was unavoidable, so I did a bunch of research on what is out ...
Pros: Easy to use, Keeps your hands clean, No more scoop! Cons: Flimsy construction, bulky (but manageable), Lack of good instructions
About four years ago, my wife convinced me that we really needed a cat. She had grown up with cats. I, on the other hand, grew up tormenting cats... I gave in and the little furball came into our lives. And for some reason, even though it's my ...
Pros: Inexpensive
Easy to remove waste
Lightweight
No electricity required
Roomy (large size only) Cons: Sometimes litter sticks to bottom; you have to pound on it or scrape w/ scoop
In the past year I was adopted by two beautiful black female kittens, Ruth and Rosa. Ruth is extremely fastidious and will not use a litter box that is too soiled. My husband and I failed to keep the box clean enough for her and there was no way I'd ...
Pros: Reasonably priced. At times it will work exactly as advertised. Cons: Too many variables pertaining to quality of waste for this to work as advertised.
Like many of you now reading this review, I was in a position where I was tired of dealing with topless, open litter boxes. I was tired of dealing with the cats not always aiming their waste in the box, and/or the amount of litter that got kicked ...
Pros: never have to touch litter, clumps come out so easily! Cons: will likely have to clean the grate after prolonged use, a bit bulky
When I adopted two kittens, a friend of mine offered to give me her regular-sized Omega Paw self-cleaning litter box, since her cats were too big for it, and wouldn't use it. (She'd have bought a larger one, but she was storing her litter box in a small ...
Pros: liked the dream but not the reality Cons: lid breaks, soft stools and urine get stuck, requires room to roll, makes a mess
After reading rave reviews of this box on epinions and amazon.com, we purchased one (the large size) and found that the box had more problems than solutions. The reviews on amazon touch on some of the problems we have had, such as breaking plastic ...
Pros: Works very well in most circumstances Cons: In others, more trouble than a regular box
The person who wrote that a cat with loose stools is not a candidate for this litter box is right. We have 7 cats, all of which will use the litter boxes if the weather is bad outside. The box worked fairly well before our last stray came to stay. My ...
Pros: Can be used to litter train
Controls odors
Doesn't waste excess litter
Cons: The latches are a bit weak
A little litter leaks from the side (use tape)
I did my homework before I got this product. I have a 3 week old kitten that I wanted to litter train and I wanted to give her the best I could find. This litter pan is it! Granted I've never owned a cat much less litter pan before, but my experience ...
Pros: Great design, easy to use, saves litter. Cons: None. Just read my three tips.
This litter box is outstanding. We've had it for about 6 months now and it has drastically cut down on both our litter usage and the stink in our spare bathroom. It's very easy to use and fairly effective. It does miss small pieces of waste that slip ...
The best litter box ever! I have had cats for many, many years and the litter box has always been an issue. Not anymore, I wish I had come across this sooner. So easy to put together and use. I have two cats and I think they have potty issues because ...
Pros: Easy litter collection into a tray. Cons: Requires more floor space than other boxes.
My cats eat Organic, non-corn based cat food and they don't have waste problems. Before the Omega Paw and I used a large open litter box and a large hooded litter box with filter and door. After setting up the Omega Paw, my kitties ...
Best Litter box Available, but could use minor improvements by juliet7 ,Nov 03 '06
Pros: Quick, Easy, and Not Gross to Clean. Less time spent cleaning, and happier cats. Cons: Need space to roll. Latches are flimsy. Clumps occasionally stick. A little awkward to roll.
Overall this is a great litter box. It's so quick (1-2 min) and easy to clean that I clean it more often (at least once a day), and it's not a gross process because you never have to touch the litter or inside of the box. So now I only need 1 box for 2 cats. It is simply the best litter box out there, but it still could use a few minor improvements. First the latches that hold it together are flimsy, mine haven't broken but may in the future, but these could easily be replaced with a bolt and a wing nut. Second clumps occasionally stick to the box, but a coating of Pam on the plastic or an occasional smack on the bottom of the box helps. Third since 1/3 of the box is taken up by the cleaning grate/scoop I highly recommend the large size box unless you have a petite cat. Fourth you have to use a good clumping litter or it won't work, I use Arm & Hammer Unscented, because it's cheap and effective. Overall it is a great box and I would buy it again or recommend it to a friend.
Pros: Easy to use, quick, much better than the "old school" box. Cons: None
Awesome! Wonderful! Love it!
I had this thought: When you've got this option, why would you want to buy an expensive, battery-consuming, destined-to-break-down, robo-box? Each require the same amount of effort; they both require the human to remove the waste & dump it. So why waste your money on the robo-feature (unless you're bored & need extra entertainment)?
If any one has a problem with runny waste, look to what you're feeding your cat. Don't try and blame an inanimate box. Or as my uncle says, "it's the Indian, not the arrow".
Pros: simple, easy to use, can be a great price (search around), little effort to clean Cons: none so far that I can tell. may be difficult to add litter -small door
I so far LOVE the Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box! It is very simple and very effective (with a decent clumping litter). Talk about sanitary! :) I am buying another one ASAP. My problem of stinky litter cleaning is resolved.
