Felinetastic!
by drmom ,Jan 24 '07
Pros: Easy to use and clean. Great odor control when combined with good litter. Cons: The fastenings are not that sturdy.
I cannot say enough about this litter box. We live in a very small apt and the only place to keep a litter box is right in the bathroom under everyone's noses. SO, I have to be very careful with odor control. This really does the trick, combined with Fresh Step clumping litter. I just roll it about twice a week, remove the collector drawer and dump the waste in a plastic bag, which I tie and take right out to the trash. That is it! It is so easy to keep clean with our one cat! I only have to clean the bottom out 4 times a year! The fastenings for the top are delicate but I only have to remove the top a couple of times a year, so the box has lasted a year for me so far. What a terrific find.

Brilliant!
by shell831 ,Nov 15 '08
Pros: Easy, clean, quick Cons: I didn't get it 10 year ago.
Oh my god this is the best thing since sliced bread. I have had cats for years and always used the standard litter box. Then I bought the electronic self-cleaning litter box, which was a pain in the butt and ended up dying anyway. This box is so easy and clean to use - you can empty the litter box in literally 30 seconds. Love it love it love it.

I will NEVER scoop again!
by pameluh ,Apr 13 '08
Pros: Clean, simple, relatively inexpensive, save on bags, scoops, litter Cons: Need space to roll it, can be a little heavy, some litter may spill
My apologies to those who like to add motors to litter boxes, but are you nuts?
This litter box is so easy to use. So clean. So simple! It actually makes cleaning the litter box, if you can believe this, fun!
You roll it on its lid, you roll it back, pull out the drawer, throw away all the clumps. Done!
I could go on forever about how fantastic this thing is. There are no moving parts so there is nothing that will wear out or break over time unlike litter boxes with motors.

Omega Paw Self Cleaning litter box
by silverorchid ,Jul 26 '05
Pros: Easy to put together
It WORKS!!
No more nasty scoop!
Cons: None yet!!
Just bought this last night.. we have 3 cats and are constantly scooping the litter boxes. Between the smell and the nastiness of the scoop after awhile and the litter everywhere Iwas ready to try anything.
Stopped at pet Valu last night and saw this product and the price was fairly reasonable.
You just snap the one piece in, attach the lid after you fill with scoopable litter, insert the removable tray and your ready to roll! My cats used it immediately so I got to test it right away, I have to be honest and say I was sceptical because weve tried alot of different ones with not much success. So I rolled the cat box as the directions said and then opened the little pull out tray and believe it or not it worked!! No mess, no litter spills.

No more scooping!
by mom2jasmine ,Jan 17 '06
Pros: Easy to use, No scooping, Less Smell Cons: Litter will stick to the bottom if not cleaned often enough
I have owned the Omega Roll Away Litter Box for nearly 2 years at this point. I love it! I saw one reviewer said that wet litter sticks to the bottom of the box. I have found this to be true, but only when you don't put enough litter in the box (it can hold quite a bit!) or if you don't change it every day (or at least every other day). I have to buy a new one now because the screen which filters the clumps has broken away from the bottom, but $25 for 2 years of use and no scooping makes it worth it to me!

Messy
by l8rgator ,Dec 04 '05
Pros: Does filter the litter out of a litter box without the usual task of scooping. Cons: Can get messy, rolling it takes more time than scooping would, accumulates filth.
I'm a pet sitter, and a client had one of these at their house. Maybe it was just the litter they used, but because the box was "rolled" to clean it, it developed a thick clay-like paste all over the inside. It was gross. The screen did an ok job of filtering out the litter, but not a great job (not quite as good as a regular scoop).
I ended up cleaning out the whole thing from top to bottom (what a mess), and then bringing my own scoop instead of rolling it.
I think I prefer the sifting litter liners or a regular old scoop to this one.

LOVE IT
by tchavez ,Dec 29 '05
Pros: Easy to use, great privacy, easy to clean, no smell. Cons: If you put to much litter in, the excess spills into the drawer.
This is great and highly recomended. I am in the Orlando area and I searched every pet store, could not find it anywhere. Ended up ordering online. We have this in our large bathroom. It is so easy to clean. Just roll over and empty drawer. Cat loves to use the drawer handle to rub against. Built great, no problems with lid. Cat loves the privacy. Have been using for about two months now.

I'm very happy
by omisade ,Jan 14 '08
Pros: no scooping, no smell, no mess Cons: somewhat large
I have never wanted a cat because of the litter box issue....the smell, the mess..........but then I saw the Omega Paw and decided to try it for my kitten who was a present to me. I was amazed at how something so simple, with no real moving parts, no electricity, works so well. It was a breeze to put together, took maybe 30 seconds, and to fill with clumping litter I normally use. Femi, my kitten, took to it immediately.
The one drawback is that it is somewhat large, so you know it's a litter box, but you cannot really see that it is.....unlike the traditional trays. For now, Femi is in the kitchen. As she gets older and can climb stairs, I'll put it in the basement where only she and I will know it's there.

Near Perfect
by fee698 ,Jun 19 '08
Pros: Hygienic, easy to empty, worth the money. Cons: Catches are weak and break easily, litter spills on rolling.
We bought a large version of this box around 18 months ago. Two of the catches broke after 6 months or so, so we taped it together and continued to use it... because it's so good! Easy to use and our 5 cats love it. I have since bought another to replace the first, but am still using both. It is an expensive product, especially given that it does leak litter and the catches do go, but I still think it's worth it in the end. All litter trays leak litter in some form, so to us the pros outweigh the cons. It's a huge shame they can't fix the box together with better fixings - perhaps screw bolts or something, and have a better seal to avoid those spills - then this box would be indeed, perfect.
