Pros: Location, location, location and exceptionally clean room. Cons: Indifferent staff and service, restaurant sub-par
We stayed with our two children during the early spring of the year. The hotel lacks the ambiance of something like the historic Palmer House but was nice enough. The room (a small suite) was very nice with bar, living area with flat screen TV, ...

Pros: All suites, great location Cons: Not a ton of facilities
According to the guidebooks guests of the Oprah Winfrey Show stay at the Omni Chicago Hotel. Although I did not see any celebrities I have no reason to doubt this claim since it is a very nice place to stay. The hotel has an excellent location on...

Simply Awesome "7 dollar waters but, a million dollar experience"
by concretekin ,Dec 20 '06
Pros: the rooms, the service, the staff, the location, the price
Cons: Eating and drinking will cost the kids college fund
My stay in this hotel was great. Despite the fact that every vending amenity costs one arm plus on leg, the experience was great. Firstly, The rooms are all suites, it is almost as if you have a deluxe apartment in downtown chicago. The rooms come complete with good views, two separate rooms, comfortable furniture, marble/granite counter tops and two t.v.'s (One of which is a HUGE PLASMA T.V.) When you walk out of the hotel you are smack dab in the middle of a magnificent array of stores and retailers including Ralph Lauren, Saks, and so on. I felt like i was on Rodero drive or something well besides the 30 degree weather. Lastly the the staff went out of there way to the point that i wondered if they in fact even had a way. Having said all this, I will reveal the surprising reason i chose the hotel which was it was the cheapest. Unbelievable. A must.

great time. comfortable, friendly, great location
by brittany2005 ,Jul 09 '04
Pros: location!!! great comfortable bed, friendly staff Cons: some might not light the "city noise."
the staff was very friendly. when i arrived, my room wasn't ready yet, but it was just 5 minutes later and they made sure to give me a nice view for waiting. it was a holiday weekend but the staff was responsive, friendly, and helpful.
the best part about this hotel is the location. a 10-15 minute walk to navy pier, 2 blocks to the free trolley, 2 blocks to water tower shopping, starbucks next door, it's just in the middle of everything! getting around chicago was SO SIMPLE and i will never stay in the suburbs and then drive into the city again.

A Great Choice in Chicago
by bonvivant33 ,Jul 17 '06
Pros: Location, great staff Cons: None!
This hotel was ideally located for our trip (just off Michigan Ave. in Magnificent Mile, walking distance to Navy Pier, great restaurants, shopping). I signed up for their preferred guest program ahead of time, and we were given a glass of champagne upon arrival, daily newspaper and beverage delivered in the morning. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, did not hear any street noise. Staff was very gracious and helpful.
