Pros: Easy to use, accurate Cons: Can be expensive
When I was about 30 weeks pregnant I was diagnosed with preeclampsia, a disease marked in part by increased blood pressure. After a couple of hospitalizations my doctor agreed to let me home on bed rest so long as I could monitor my blood pressure at ...
Pros: Automatic, easy to use, stores 200 readings for 2 users. Cons: Cuff is very sensitive. Lots of error messages.
In a couple of months, my dear husband Bill and I will be moving to Germany. As part of the stuff that has to be done before the government will move us, I had to go get a physical. I was pretty nervous about getting the physical done because it had ...
Pros: Styling. Accuracy. User friendliness. Quickness. Comfortable, auto-inflation cuff. Easy-to-read display with clock. Hard-shell storage case. Cons: Unlike Omron's latest "HEM-780", this version can't "average" your last three readings (see explanation below).

I had an old Omron HEM 431-C that kept erroring out so I recently bought this one after it was recommended by a pharmacist who told me that Omron makes top notch BP units and they are the world's #1 brand that is recommended by doctors and pharmacists. ...
Pros: Nothing. Cons: Inaccurate readings - up to 20-30 points higher than dr's office.
I read the reviews last year and bought the omron hem780. I used it, and when I went to the cardiologist's office with what I thought was high blood pressure, he decided to put a 24 hour blood pressure monitor on me. Consistently, the ...
BP Machine goes into Error mode. No repair info. by gustafer ,Mar 16 '06
Pros: Looks nice. Cons: Fails more and more often till it quits totally.
This is the second Omron BP machine I've own in about three years. The first one went into "E" mode and kept shutting itself down. This one I hoped would be different, but it's not. After about a year of once a week use it shows an "E" for error on its LCD screen, then resets itself and waits. I start it again and again I get the error message. There is no reset switch. It cost $90 or thereabouts and seems to me a waste of money.
Pros: Large display, accuracy, speed Cons: Difficult to impossible to put "easy to use" cuff on right arm if right handed.
Product is easy to use with one button start and easy to read screen on this large screen model. Appears to be accurate and reproducible. My model 780RELN was large screen version which had easily readable systolic, diastolic and pulse readings for those with vision difficulties. Also has a memory feature to remember your last readings that I never use. May be a bit more complicated than necessary with features I have not used nor needed. Doctors and nurses often take readings from the right arm which can have different readings than the left arm which often has readings that are comparatively lower. Very difficult to put the semi-rigid cuff on right arm compared to other models I have used that are less "automatic"
