Pros: quick, easy, accurate Cons: none
When I found out that my blood pressure was borderline high, my doctor suggested I get a home blood pressure monitor so I could keep tabs on my blood pressure at home. So, I went out and bought a blood pressure cuff, not realizing that one wasn’t as ...

Pros: Small, accurate, consistant. Cons: Still looking for some.

This is the one to buy--you won't regret it.

Pros: Does everything except tie your shoes. Makes taking your blood pressure actually fun! Cons: Everyone in the family will want to try it out.
This thing works like a charm. Unlike other wrist models (by the same manufacturer) this one makes sure you're holding your arm properly to get an accurate reading. People complain about other models not being accurate, but since they all must be federally approved I suspect they weren't being used properly. There's no doubt when using this one. The on screen display shows how close you are to holding it right--what could be easier? Big bold digital readout. There's even a 90 reading memory with graph. What doesn't this thing do?! This is even better than going to the doctor for me, where my pressure always shoots up because I hate doctor's offices. And you can quickly check your pressure under various conditions and times. I got mine new off of eBay, but I wonder if the manufacturer will honor the 5yr warranty because of that.

Sending this one back
by rj5620 ,Feb 03 '08
Pros: When it worked, it is easy and fast. Cons: Not accurate, not working correctly
I purchased the Omron HEM-637 from amazon for $73.99 on January 19,2008. Because of the wrist method of measuring BP, this unit is a joy to use. After aligning wrist/unit to the correct height, with the built in leveling monitor, it readily reads your BP and displays it in an easy to read format. It seemed to work fine for a week, but yesterday and today the reading for myself and my wife are way low and I am sending it back.
