Pros: Iron and calcium, easy to swallow, no side effects for me Cons: So simple, some may want a formula with more "stuff" in it
I have reviewed some vitamins that caused me to be jittery and have other unpleasant side effects. The truth is, I don't really like vitamins. I haven't taken any with any true regularity since I was pregnant. However, I know my diet isn't complete ...
Pros: plenty of vitamins, nice % of calcium, marketing genius Cons: cost vs. benefit comes out lacking
To take a Womens Vitamin or traditional multi-vitamin?

Pros: Formulated just for women's needs. Cons: Very large size vitamin!
If you are taking a vitamin supplement and still feel like it is not working for you, maybe you should try a product made especially for your gender. That's exactly what I did! When my vitamins ran out last time I picked up One A Day Women's ...
Pros: Supplements my diet, specially designed for women Cons: Not enough iron for me, more expensive than the generic counterparts
Once I began University my diet suffered drastically, not only did I not have the time to prepare healthy meals, I was also short on cash so I didn't have the money to buy quality food at school. As such many days I went hungry until I could come home...
Pros: Extra vitamins and minerals that women need. Not too expensive. Cons: Pill's a bit large.
One-A-Day Women's is a multivitamin. In marketing terms, "specially formulated for women". Some years ago, a blood test showed I was a little anemic. My doctor and I didn't dig down to root causes, but I generally operated on the idea that I ...
Pros: contains enough of what I need to suffice Cons: large, hard to swallow, may experience nausea
I'm a college student with a terrible diet, and I know it. My doctor suggested I take calcium supplements, because I rarely drink milk, but I ended up switching with my sister for her bottle of vitamins. I had no problems with that bottle, except ...
Pros: THIS ONE A DAY VITAMIN WILL MAKE YOU FEEL TEN YEARS YOUNGER. TRY IT NOW! Cons: THE VITAMIN IS A LARGE PILL AND MAY BE DIFFICULT FOR SOME PEOPLE TO SWALLOW

Pros: One of the more diversified multivitamins out there; more calcium than others Cons: Gigantic pill; nauseous after taking it
I was initially drawn to this because I became lactose intolerant pretty early on and was concerned that I wasn't getting enough calcium in my early 20s. I opted for a multivitamin because I was drawn to the Vitamin E to fix my constantly breaking ...
needed a supplement free of vitamin K! by sharonleern ,Mar 02 '04
Pros: Contains no vitamin K; Price definitely favorable. USP approved. Expiration date December 2005. Cons: The caplets are large and don't slide down easily.
I searched for a vitamin supplement free of vitamin K. Found it in the One-A-Day brand. Paid $10.08 for 200 tablets/caplets of One-A-Day Women's formula. The amount of calcium is acceptable for me since I am to avoid extra calcium as well as excluding vitamin K products from my daily diet. The child-proof cap was converted easily to "just a cap." Have just started using them.
One a day is enough for me by tigerlily9 ,Feb 22 '07
Pros: Easy dosage, great amount of all the vitamins my doctor recommends Cons: Can't think of any
I like this product. The pills are no larger than any typical multivitamin. My Omega 3 pills are bigger. Always take it with food because ANY multivitamin will cause mild nausea otherwise. The vitamins I was taking before recommended 3 TIMES a day which was way too much. The price is fine, I think 100 tablets were only about $10. These are simple and have all the things I want to supplement in my diet (accept Omega 3).
PS Mine says it has Vitamin K.
I did not give this 5 stars only because I haven't used it for very long.
Pros: NO overdoing it with RDA and addition of herbs Cons: Huge pill, vitamin E is not the best form, the Calcium and Magnesium ration is not 2:1.
Since beginning to take multivitamins-- I have always gravitated to the health food store for vitamins for women.I have spent a lot of money and not been satisfied. I have always thought too much of anything is not good-- they will tell you at these stores you need all of the extra B vitamins and every type of herb known ever for women.
Well, although I like the One A Day for the only 100% daily recommended amounts for most of the components of this vitamin, I am concerned about the huge tablet and the fact that some of the vitamins are well--synthetic.Nothing beats eating right to get what you need in the vitamin and mineral area, however, we live where we live and do what we do--eating out, skipping meals.A women's multivitamin --I've decided will not be everything I want or need. I do feel like this is a reputable company and is known for the products being quality that it produces.
I did not feel bad when I took them and would probably buy them again!
Women's One-A-Day are fabulous by flute107 ,Aug 14 '07
Pros: Makes me feel energized, gives healthy hair and nails Cons: Large, hard to swallow
I started taking these vitamins when they were recommended to my by my OB/GYN. She suggested them because of their increased levels of calcium, vitamin B12 and folic acid.
Since taking these, I have noticed a dramatic increase in my energy levels throughout the day. I take them in the morning with breakfast (don't take without eating because, like so many other vitamins, they will make you sick!) and they make me feel energized all day.
I have also noticed healthier hair and nails. Before, my nails were thin and were always broken. Now they are strong and growing! My hair has also started growing more rapidly and is healthier and shiny. I highly recommend these to anyone trying to grow their hair out quickly.
I think it is important to take these vitamins every day in order to see the maximum results. They can be hard to swallow as they are quite large and the outer coating is not tasty at all. I dip mine in water before putting them in my mouth and they slide down easier.
One a Day Women's daily supplement by merlingirl06 ,Feb 07 '07
Pros: Gives a slight boost of energy, aids in getting needed vitamins Cons: pills are large, causes mild nausea
It's great that there are vitamin supplements specially formulated for women as men and women have different nutritional needs. I used to use Centrum, but I figured I'd give these a go. I love the extra energy these give me throughout the day in just one pill. However, whether I take these with food or not, I always feel very nauseated for a good 5-7 minutes and I almost always gag swallowing these because of their size and inability to just slide down my throat smoothly.
