Pros: Easy to use; provides tons of information; will interface with your personal computer. Cons: None
Summary: Saturday, June 25, 2006 was for me one of those defining days that people have once in a lifetime. It was most assuredly a day to remember, but definitely not in a good way. You see, this was the day I was diagnosed as a diabetic. I hadn't ... read more

Pros: Speed, convenience, data entry and retreival, light, durability, reliabilty, cheap. Cons: None. Strips expensive but cheap compared to strokes and drooling the rest of your life.
Summary: Introduction to Diabetes I write this review in deep thanks of Johnson and Johnson, the owners of Lifescan who make the One Touch meters. Diabetes is a really hard disease to live with because you are always pontentially on the brink of ... read more

Pros: Easily identify patterns and trends so that you can make adjustments for better glucose control. Cons: None. There is no other meter out there like it.
Summary: If you are making insulin adjustments or want to better manage your diabetes, this is the meter for you. It automatically collects and organizes your glucose data by time of day. All you have to do is test and the information populates inside the meter ... read more

Pros: Accurate, flexible, easy to use and can provide vast amounts of important information. Cons: Expensive for a basic meter. A bit complicated for the casual or occasional user.
Summary: The "One Touch Ultrasmart Blood Glucose Monitoring System" is quite a pretentious title for a glucometer. It sounds like 'hype.' It's not. This device is something more than a simple glucometer, although it serves that purpose well and conveniently. And, ... read more

Pros: High quality product, manages and analyzes information about glucose testing, food intake, insulin and more. Cons: Expensive, not for visually impaired or those with poor manual dexterity.
Summary: I've been insulin dependent for nearly 20 years now. I've gone from visual blood testing strips to my first meter (which took 2 minutes to complete a test) to waiting 5 seconds for a result now. Of all the meters I've used (several lifescan products, ... read more

Pros: Easy Sampling, Rapid Results, Integrated Log and Averaging. Cons: Device resetting not obvious from instruction manual.
Summary: The easy to use UltraSmart blood glucose monitor is much more than a blood glucose tester. Here is a list of some of its features that I use the most: 1. Log Book: The monitor itself is a powerful logbook capable of holding thousands of test entries. ... read more

Pros: Stores a whole load of info, fast, good service Cons: No strips included,
Summary: The OneTouch UltraSmart is certainly not your typical blood glucose meter. It is an enhanced version of the regular OneTouch Ultra, which I have also reviewed. Not only does it measure blood sugar in just 5 seconds, but it also stores a whole world of ... read more

Pros: Configurable. Big lighted display. easy to use Cons: None really, maybe too advance for some persons.
Summary: I've had this meter for over 2yrs. I'm a brittle diabetic who has used this to track food/insulin/exersize/stress. This is basically a PDA for your glucose. If you take the time and measure all your food you can track exactly how your body responds to

Pros: The palm like technology is great. Cons: This is NOT a meter for kids.
Summary: It is nice to hold in your hand, and comfortable in size. The buttons and text are large enough for those who need glasses, but don't like to wear them and seem to work easily. The test strips that this meter uses are much more picky than the Ascensia
