Pros: taste, quality, price, no aftertaste Cons: like other drinkable supplements, can still have clumps no matter how well it is mixed
In the chain of protein supplements, whey is much better than soy, which is why when I was researching soy supplements I went with whey. Whey proteins are complete proteins and supply the body with all of the essential amino acids required for good...
Pros: great taste and really healthy way to get fit. Cons: none
I have been using this whey protein drink for about 2 months. I know that seems like a very short time, but I absolutely love it. My mom gave it to me before I came to college which is where I'm at now, and believe me I need all the nutrition I can ...
Pros: Excellent taste, versatile. Cons: slight chalkiness, but not bad.
Maybe I'm a health freak or maybe it is my fear of food touching my hands... such as the cheese of a Dorito... but I for the most part try to take care of my body, not so much on purpose, but mostly due to my love of fruits and vegetables over most ...
Pros: High quality protein product, 24g per serving, excellent value Cons: like many other protein products, tastes bland with just water
I found this product to be a good bang for the buck. I only had to pay $30 for a 5 lb tub which comes out to be 40 cents per serving. It has just 120 calories with just 1g fat, 3g carbs. The product consists of 24g of whey protein broken down into ...
Pros: cheap price, tastes good, a very complete protein Cons: none, as far as protein supplements are concerned
Nutrition labels are always pretty suspect when it comes to protein. Sure, they list how much a serving has, but it's usually one of the only things without a %RDA on it. That's because nobody can really agree on how much protein one needs. For all the ...
Optimum Nutrition has produced some products with terrific value and nutrition values, and this protein powder is no exception. I bought this protein on sale back when I still shopped at GNC. As far as protein / $ goes, this is definitely one of the ...
Pros: Mixes very good Cons: Not a great taste, better value on other powders
I have tried so many protein powders over the years; I came across Optimum after reading all the craze about it. Everything I read about it was that it has such a great taste. I found the taste of the vanilla to be ok, but after a while sort of gave me a ...
Pros: price, taste, quality Cons: doesn't mix the best with milk by spoon, but that is mostly the milk's fault
I bought some of this protein. Compared to some of the other protein on the market I found it to be more refined, it seems to have less cholesterol and fat and offers an excellent assortment of amino acids. It is also very well priced and has excellent taste. In fact, I was very surprised when I first tasted it, as I have had other protein supplements that have tasted somewhat nasty. It mixes well with water with just a spoon, but not as well with milk(has a few small clumps with milk). If you have a blender you will have no problems mixing this. Try mixing peanut butter and maybe a banana in too to further enhance the taste and consistency of the shake( also try dry milk, it doesn't spoil and offers good protein). Overall, this is a very economical protein as compared to others on the market, especially when taste and quality of the protein are considered.
