Pros: Quick setup and image adjustments. Terrific image Cons: New projector smell during initial operation - none really
Okay, my wife reworked my budget, and instead of the latest model the H78DC3 projector that I REALLY wanted from Optoma, we opted to get the H31. I ordered from an authorized dealer on-line out of Florida, and while I won't bore you with the shipping ...

Pros: DLP 2 chip, 4 speed, 6 segment color wheel, low noise. Cons: Not very good resolution, runs really hot.
I was looking for a replacement projector for my piece of junk BenQ (see my review on the BenQ PB8220), and this was the best projector I could find that was within my budget ($1,400). The only drawback that made me hesitate about buying this projector ...

Fantastic performance for $599
by michaelagreen ,Sep 22 '06
Pros: Quiet, doesn't blow hot air, included accessories. Cons: Takes a little while to shut down and cool off.
The Optoma H31 projector is a fantastic find and buy for someone looking to start a home theater or upgrade their older machine. I bought from VisualApex, because they were offering the projector for $699, and a $100 mail in rebate. The machine came with carrying case, plenty of cords, and remote. The projector displays very well with minimal light (5:00 in the afternoon) and sparkles crisp and clear at night. I have it projected on a 6' x 10' screen and it looks great!
Thanks Optoma!

Pros: Picture,Picture,Picture. remote is great, noise is minimal, and I love the Picture. Cons: Can't see any.
Beautiful picture, price was right, 1900$ Can. including screen and mount, easy to setup, menu is simple, colors are perfect, even with the lights on the picture look good enough. There are cheaper PJ's but this one is a real Home theater PJ, and the picture is WOW!!
