Pros: Super hot, lots of steam Cons: Not really cordless, too expensive, cheap and flimsy.
Summary: I purchased the Oreck XL Vacuum which came with two bonus items - the canister vac and the "Cord-free" iron. Oreck lists the iron at $130 but it comes free when you order the Xl. I paid $499 for the three items. When I opened the iron, the first ... read more

Pros: Can't think of any. Cons: How much time do we have? Too expensive, doesn't work as advertised.
Summary: I was excited to have my Oreck Cordless Iron until I got it home and tried it. I was attracted by it's light weight when in cordless mode but it doesn't stay hot very long and takes too long on the cradle to heat up again. I'm a quilter so

Pros: when working, does heat up nicely Cons: poor connections
Summary: we received free as a part of the vacuum promotion. Had high hopes for it. We are now on our third iron in about a year. The first broke in about 4 months, the second in six, so I guess the reviewer who estimated a five month life span was right on

Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything
Summary: We received one of these irons when we bought our vacuum. The vacuum is terrific, the iron is a joke. It died with a few weeks. We returned it for another, and it also died. It didn't heat up anymore. We returned it for a third, and after a few

Pros: Free with purchase of vacuum. Cons: Quit working after 5 months. Light construction. Cordless feature doesn't stay hot for long.
Summary: I had already considered buying one of these irons, and to the Oreck salesperson's credit, he told me that this was the product they had the most complaints and returns on. This summer we bought the Oreck XL (which we love) and got the iron for free.

Pros: none - cheap and doesnt work as advertised. Cons: utter crap!
Summary: I was a fool and purchsed this iron for $100 at a home show. Now I can't find the group to return it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - iron doesn't stay hot and although the light goes off at the charger base it is stillnot hot enough to use. I would not

Pros: It was free... Cons: Putting the water in is a real hassle, don't like it at all.
Summary: I also got this iron free with purchase, if I had paid for it I would have returned it. It has too many knobs, you have to lift a very flimsy "door" to put the water into it, it needs to be reheated all the time, isn't worth the effort! I actually

Pros: none. Cons: not hot enough, needs to charge for too long.
Summary: I got it free as I bought a vacuum as well and I cannot believe they would charge $130 for it! What a waste of money it would be. This product is worthless. It looks and feels cheap and actualyl feels like a toy. Wouldn't even take it for free if I had
