Pros: Light weight, attractive appearance, easy to use, compact size, roomy interior. Cons: Some parts may seem flimsy to some, but this does not detract from performance.
Having limited funds yet needing something to bake pizzas as well as toast, I found myself in the market for a toaster oven. I purchased a Krups Model FBC2 and liked it a lot, but was concerned about defects in manufacturing. Having exchanged the Krups ...

Pros: Holds 5 slices of bread and a small pizza. Red color is sort of pretty. Cons: Very Noisy. Unusually Hot on Outside.
We bought this at Target. We loved the idea that it would fit a pizza and 6 slices of bread. We loved the idea that with the convection feature, it could cook more efficiently and evenly. Well, almost. This six-slice toaster oven fits FIVE slices of ...

Pros: Pretty red color, lots of control options, spacious. Cons: Uneven toasting, lack of control over toasting time due to timer design.
I have owned this toaster oven for about 6 months. Other reviewers have described it well so I will just cover a couple of specific things about its design and performance.
First, it toasts unevenly. One edge of a bagel or slice of bread is ...

So far it's great!
by spectrobelle ,Nov 05 '06
Pros: Pretty appliance, good price, so far does what it says Cons: Bakeware is NOT non-stick!
I just bought this 2 days ago and so far I am very pleased. Price was reasonable and so far it does what I ask it to - toast and bake. One big suggestion here though: BUY Non-stick bakeware!
The included bakeware is NOT non-stick! The first thing I baked in it was frozen corn dogs, which stuck to the bake pan. Had to scrape them off and left stuff stuck to the pan.
The unit does get a little hot, but my experience has been that all toaster ovens do. It is surprisingly quiet while convection baking - I expected more noise. Bakes very quickly.
Overall I am very happy with my new toy, or my Easy bake oven for grown ups as my husband calls it :)

keep looking for another machine
by rycooder ,Feb 11 '06
Pros: looks cool, decent sized knobs Cons: flimsy door hinges, ultra flimsy broiler/baking pan, convection fan vibrates excessively
I bought this oven at a typical big box store for $45, after doing a bit of research. This same unit sells for upward of $70 elsewhere, so it seemed like a good idea at the time. Its pretty nice looking, but as soon as you fire it up, that convection fan vibrates so much that you will not even bother to try toast. Back to the store it goes. I really doubt this ones a lemon, rather it appears just cheaply designed and manufactured. A cheap fan connected to lots of thin plastic and sheet metal- so what can you expect? Check out the Kenmore model, its about $80 and worth it

BETTER QUALITY OVENS OUT THERE
by ed-rn ,Jun 04 '08
Pros: LOOKS GOOD, COOKS WELL. Cons: CONTROLS HARD TO SEE, TOAST TAKES FOREVER AND IS NOT EVENLY BROWNED.
I PURCHASED THIS OVEN BECAUSE IT MATCHED MY RED KITCHEN DECOR. IT LOOKS GREAT AND REALLY DOES COOK WELL. BUT..THE DOOR IS A PIECE OF JUNK. IT'S HELD ON WITH THIN FLIMSY ALUMINUM HOOKS AND SPRINGS AND MINE NEVER CLOSED RIGHT. THE THIN HOOKS DESIGNED TO SLIDE THE RACK IN AND OUT DIDN'T FIT RIGHT AND WOULD PUSH THE RACK OFF TRACK. NOT FUN WHEN YOU HAVE A 450 DEGREE PIZZA TO GET OUT OF THERE! AFTER ONLY 1 YEAR THE ENTIRE MECHANISM BROKE AND THE DOOR WOULDN'T CLOSE OR OPEN. MY HUSBAND PULLED OUT THE BENT AND BROKEN SPRING (IT REALLY WAS A PIECE OF CHEAP JUNK!) AND NOW THE DOOR WON'T STAY CLOSED AT ALL. THE EXTERIOR HAS HELD UP WELL, BUT THE CONTROLS ARE VERY HARD TO READ FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE VISUALLY CHALLENGED. I LIKED THE FACT THAT YOU CAN COOK WITH OR WITHOUT THE TIMER AND THE TEMP IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY. IT'S EASY TO CLEAN AND THE RACK IS ADJUSTABLE. TOAST TAKES FOREVER AND COMES OUT UNEVEN LIKE MOST OVEN STYLE TOASTERS.
