Pros: Sharp looking. Easy to clean. Spacious enough to actually cook in.
Cons: Toasts unevenly. Half-charred, half-ok. Can't leave controls at optimum setting. There is no optimum setting.

Cons: Loud. Slow. Poor design.

This product is loud! The convection fan is very loud and rather ineffective. Also, toasting bread can take forever. I also bought mine at Costco last year. I've never liked it and wish I'd taken it back before it shorted out a few days ago. Now I have a burned unit, no receipt, and am looking for something that will live up to expectations.

Does all it's supposed to do. Love the toast- apparently I'm not as impatient as another reviewer of the 6232 model, which is essentially the same as this one. The only difference I can find is color, this one is chrome. Got it for a great price at Costco-$48.
The 2 racks are adjustable to 4 different positions. The ticking of the timer is not as annoying as I thought it would be. Yes, the outside gets hot...just like ALL toaster ovens. Buy it, enjoy it.

I use a toaster oven a LOT, especially in the summer when I don't want to warm the house with the big oven. When my old toaster oven gave out, I first tried replacing it with a EuroPro convection unit. I was shocked by how loud and rattly the fan was, so I took it back and paid quite a bit more for this Oster. I've been using it for about 10 months now, and it has been worth every penny. I love it! It looks very sharp on the counter, runs quietly, and has a nice array of settings. ALL toaster ovens are slow compared to a pop-up toaster, but I've been very happy with the quality of my toast. I bake chicken, casseroles, corn bread, pizza, and fish sticks in it, and also use it to warm up taco shells. The "Warm" setting is great for keeping foods warm while coordinating a large meal. I like the rack that slides out when the door opens, and I also appreciate the option of using two racks. I would readily recommend this model for anyone who makes serious use of a toaster oven.

Despite all the quirks already listed by other reviewers, we have been happy for a year with this 6297 Oster oven. But all the pros to this oven aren't worth the money now that it will no longer turn on and is apparently unfixable! We tried plugging it into other outlets and checking the manual to see if there is a fuse. None.

We have used the product very lightly - it has never moved since we first placed it on our kitchen counter and plugged it in. There was no unusual event - one day it worked, and today, it does not. Oster timed their product's breaking just right - its just past its warranty time - but guess what?  I will NEVER buy another Oster product.

I wish I had the old Sunbeam that I bought at a thrift store back again! I gave it away and replaced it with this pretty but poorly made rip-off.

before purchasing, please research and see all of the problems people have with these ovens and see there are no ways to fix them. customer service does not care either. good luck, dont buy!
