Outback -- not just a Steakhouse.

by xopchipili , May 10 '00
Pros: Delicious food, simply the best
Cons: A little pricey
Let me start this off by saying I'm not a steak fan. I don't eat it at home, don't order it at restaurants, have no desire at all to munch a T Bone. I've never ordered one at Outback, and yet Outback is quite possibly my favorite place to eat.

Ya call that a meal? Now this is a meal!

by PacManY2J Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Nov 03 '01
Pros: Delicious meal, good service, nice atmosphere
Cons: Long wait to be seated, but that's expected at any great restaurant
I admit, it took me a while to hop on the Outback bandwagon. I guess it was because every time I was near one, I was too hungry to wait. Finally, last night I decided it was time. I headed to the Outback in Burlington, VT to see what all the fuss was...

No rules, just wait.

by kimdee , Oct 20 '01
Pros: Great food, good atmosphere
Cons: The wait to get in can age you.
Well, where do I begin. I love Outback. I hate going to Outback.

I love the food. The steaks are juicy, so tender you can almost cut them with your fork. The Bloomin’ Onion is a meal in itself, although it never is the only thing...

Little Taste Of The Land Down Under

by MountainRaine , Jun 08 '00
Pros: Great food
Cons: Long wait to be seated
When you want a good steak, go to Outback. When you want good ribs, got to Outback. When you want...ok, you get the picture. Outback has wonderful meat dishes, but they also have excellent pasta. I normally get the Wahalla Pasta which is pasta with...

Outback Should be buried in my back yard!

by Beckie15 , Aug 28 '02
Pros: A good atmosphere
Cons: Way too expensive for quality of food.
I have been a waitress for a long time, so being in the restaurant business is not a new thing for me, so when I go to other restaurants, especially chains, I expect good service, which is something that almost anyone would want. Well for the three times...

Fun down under

by dawnrhoades , Jan 10 '03
Pros: great atmosphere, excellent food, decent prices, excellent service
Cons: long waits due to popularity
The moment my husband and I walked into the restaurant I knew I was going to like the Outback Steakhouse. We walked in and were immediately greeted and asked for our name and number in our party. The hostess apologized and informed us that there would...

Be a barfly and beat the rush!

by kfarst , Dec 18 '01
Pros: Great value. And great wings!
Cons: Crowded, but beat this by sitting in the bar area.
I don't think I have ever sat in the dining room at an Outback. That's because I can't justify waiting 30-60 minutes for a table when I can seat myself in the bar within 10-15 minute or less just by keeping my eyes peeled. Every Outback has bar tables...

The Outback Steakhouse-The Closest To Actually Being In The Outback!

by elubee , Nov 04 '02
Pros: Very good customer service, nice atmosphere and great food!
Cons: Atmosphere is a little dark and no reservations
First Trip To An Outback Steakhouse:

The closest Outback Steakhouse to me is in Portland,Oregon. I have had dinner at an Outback Steakhouse twice. Both times I was very pleased with the service. When you first come in they take your name...

An Aussie Resturant without anything Austrailian about it.

by ribwich , May 11 '03
Pros: Large meals and very large portions
Cons: Typical steakhouse food, compare to Black Angus and Claim Jumper
Outback is a very famous chain restuarant that serves typical steakhouse food, and has really nothing special, or "Aussie" about it. Yet that said, the American themed food is quite good and very consistent. They have salads a large assortment of...

Outback All the Way, baby!

by dtpookie21 , Aug 17 '00
Pros: Baked Potato, Bloomin' Onion, Seasoned Steak
Cons: Long waits, annoying beeper waiting system, noisy
I love the Outback Steakhouse. I first ate at one years ago down in Florida and then out in Indiana with relatives. I always wished we would get one near where I lived in CT and finally a few years back I got my wish. The Outback Steakhouse serves...

Crocodile Dundee's got nothin' on this place!

by kiaunis , Oct 14 '00
Pros: Good food and Prices.
Cons: ?
I've been to the OUTBACK Steakhouse several times and each time I was impressed with the service, the prices, and the amount of food you get for the price.

The only thing I never liked about the restaurant was that it never opened until late...

Great Restaurant

by bogush , Jan 31 '00
Pros: great food
Cons: long wait
I agree with Linda on this restaurant. It has to be one of the best. The Blooming Onion is enough for a meal for 2. I usually get the steak which is the best in any restaurant I have ever eaten in. However, the Cinnamon Oblivian has to be the best desert...

The Outback in Chico, CA Lost it's Touch

by aeanostrous , Mar 06 '07
Pros: Generally excellent food and reasonably attentive service
Cons: A bit pricey, food is very high in fat, and wait staff has become "distant"/lethargic
I used to be a big fan of Outback, and would take my fiance there regularly up until the winter of 2006. Granted, the Outback here has always been relatively busy day or night, but their service and food always made up for whatever wait you may have to ...

by dagny21 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Aug 02 '00
Pros: Good Food, Good Service
Cons: Atmosphere is very loud.
The Outback Steakhouse is not a bad place to get a good meal, but you can get better atmosphere for your money.

Food
The food is Good. Not fantastic, but very good. I enjoyed my steak and potato as much as at any place, my...
