My Cuke Needed A Good Grip Swivel Peeler. I Bought The Oxo 7"

by jo.com Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Aug 14 '02
Pros: It peels easily, swivels and is easy to hold.
Cons: The blades are very sharp: keep it away from children
I am reviewing the Oxo* Good Grips Swivel Peeler. Mine has the black handle. A bit of a history. I am not much of a cook. I have 2 peelers – one works somewhat and one doesn’t at all. (I will throw it away.) My husband said he would do Weight...

Hey, Lefties! You can use an Oxo Good Grips Swivel Peeler!!

by lorace Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Oct 03 '02
Pros: Comfortable to hold, works beautifully, and is a pleasure to use.
Cons: That I didn't have one years ago.
How excited can one get over a potato peeler? I mean, doesn’t everyone have one that gets thrown into a kitchen drawer and dragged out when it’s needed? What’s exciting about that?

Nothing, to me, until now. You see I barely EVER used one....

by Javelina, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Apr 08 '03
Pros: Rubbery grip, textured thumb grip, SHARP blade, swivel head, eyer
Cons: A newfound Oxo addiction, which could be costly!
The Oxo Good Grips Swivel Peeler was the first Oxo product that I owned. After having this product, I soon added many other in the Oxo line.

by mind-full Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, May 09 '02
Pros: soft/easy-grip handle, sharp, better than others I own(ed!)
Cons: none
I'm a huge fan of OXO, and that's an understatement. I don't own every product they've ever made, but I shout from the rooftops about the products I do own.

Unquestionably, they are the best, reasonably priced kitchen gadgets available....

HANNIBAL WOULDN'T LIKE THIS

by Donnie013 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Oct 14 '02
Pros: sure grip, sharp blades, dishwasher safe
Cons: none
It all started when I invited my friend to my home for dinner. I’d just married Richard and wanted him to meet the woman I’d chosen long ago to be my son’s Godmother.

J and I met in the early 60s and became instant friends....

by arianej Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Oct 12 '02
Pros: Good Grips handle, sharp, peels easily
Cons: none
My husband and I inherited a lot of ancient cookware and gadgets from various family members when we got married. Some of it was good, others not so good. One of the tools that definitely fell in the not so good category was our ancient vegetable...

Time to Throw Out Those Old Grandma Peelers!

by lynus Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, May 02 '04
Pros: Very sharp, nice grip, best peeler used.
Cons: Very sharp!
I’ve experienced two types of peelers in my life. The first one I am most common with. Either by construction or age they are flimsy, dull, and a chore to use. The second, the one I’m discussing here today is the exact opposite. It is strong, ...

Carrots Beware: OXO vegetable peeler

by yakkowarner Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jul 01 '04
Pros: Easy to use, does not wear you out, comfortable handle, great grip even when wet.
Cons: Handle is coming apart. Potato eyer sucks.
I hated the peeler I was given in college. It was cheap and difficult to handle. To boot it was getting too dull to really use. So I went to Target to replace it and I saw this. Decided to give it a try. This was my first OXO product and I had no ...

OXO Peeler - Now I Have no Excuse for Not Making Mashed Potatoes

by mmcphee Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Feb 25 '06
Pros: Works well, dishwasher safe and latex free
Cons: We eat a lot more mashed potatoes now
My husband loves mashed potatoes, but for years he never liked them when I made them. I leave the skin on. Not because I want the extra nutrition and fiber offered by the peel, I was just too lazy to peel them with the cheap-o grocery store vegetable ...

Oxo 7" Swivel Peeler (black): the (almost) PERFECT Peeler!

by freelancer1 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, May 08 '02
Pros: Razor-sharp blade, attractive design, grippy handle, dishwasher safe.
Cons: Won't hang up on most kitchen hooks.
I love Oxo products. I bought the Oxo 7" Swivel Peeler (black) when my cheap old peeler became blunt and started slipping, and it turned out to be a pretty good move. Here's why...

OXO swivel peeler makes peeling...almost fun?

by pjp2 , Mar 01 '02
Pros: Sharp blade that swivels, soft grip
Cons: The urge to destroy all of your other kitchen tools so you can buy Oxo
OK, OK, it might be a bit of a stretch to say that this peeler makes peeling potatoes fun, but I sure dread it less now that I've added this tool to my kitchen. Why? For one thing, the blade is super sharp. While that might sound dangerous, it's actually...

BEST PEELER EVER
by csdyer46158 ,Aug 05 '06
Pros: Effortless peeling, comfortable handle.
Cons: VERY SHARP so be careful
This is the best peeler I've ever used. It is very sharp which allows you to peel to most difficult of foods with ease. I paid 7.99 for it, which seems a little high for just a peeler, but it is WELL worth it. As they say... you get what you pay for.
