Pros: (Mostly) balanced gameplay, top-notch graphics, and plenty of game modes Cons: Limited/no joystick support, mediocre audio, no behind-the-defense camera views
I haven't had the current version of EA Sports' Madden series since Ma
dden
2003 (for Windows). As that review makes clear, I have been waiting for an iteration of this venerable franchise to offer challenging game play ...

great game. new cameras
by apuri ,Mar 06 '07
Pros: great graphics. new camera mode. updated roster. Cons: defense can be made more realistic.
i am a big madden nfl fan and try out every edition of this game. i have been playing the nfl 2007 version for the last 3-4 months now, and simply love it. especially, the camera mode in which you can view the field as the quarterback does (limited vision) gives the game a great challenge. All rosters are updates except for the Patriots wide receivers who were traded late in the season. Graphics are much better than the 2006 version...and the career mode has much more functionality.
Overall a great game. Waiting for the release of the next version already. Also, with the logitech rumblepad or other joysticks for pc, game play is almost same as if you are playing it on any other game console. Love it!

Madden 07 for PC
by nickpython ,Sep 07 '06
Pros: Updated rosters. Running game has slightly improved. Cons: Not the XBox 360 or PS2 version.
Basically, this is mostly a slight cosmetic improvement to last year's Madden 06. The most distinguishable visual difference is the details of the field and players. The grass actually looks like grass and the roster has been updated. The running game has improved slightly and there's some sort of new feature where you can control the blocking of your running back, but I always set it to automatic.
If you think this version is a mirror of the PS2 or XBox 360 versions, you're wrong. I don't understand why PC always gets the shaft when it comes to improvement versions every year. It seems like EA always focuses on new engines and new features for consoles, but little effort goes into PC versions. I'm still upset that EA doesn't make a PC version of the upcoming Superman Returns game. But that's another story...
Overall, since I enjoyed last year's Madden 06, I like the new Madden 07. I would recommend it to any die-hard football fan.
