    Pros: Excellent build quality, features, USB, up to 1080p over HDMI, DivX, MP3/WMA, performance
    Cons: Not the cheapest, but worth every cent

    Pros: -avi files are crystal clear -price -HDMI output on cheap unit
    Cons: -can't manually skip jpegs -hangs when MP3 and jpeg at same time -no MPEG1

    Pros: 1080p upconversion and durable
    Cons: None, perhaps a little pricey (but quality costs as does upconversion)

    Summary: The Pioneer 400DV is a great DVD player with 1080p and 1080i upconversion, making regular DVD movies play in near high definition quality - near HD but not completely HD
