Pros: Clear midrange/treble, decent surround cable length, headphone jack Cons: Somewhat short front/center cables, sub can be 'boomy', no treble control or faders
Overview I purchased the Logitech X-530 5.1 speaker set about 6 months ago and have been using it for a variety of music/movie/gaming tasks with my desktop computer. I wasn't looking for something with a lot of power or a lot of bass, but it ...
Pros: Powerful For Its Size. Durable. High Quality. Attractive. Decent Cord Lengths. Easy To Setup. Mountable. Cons: Subwoofer Not Powerful Enough Compared To Satellites. Could Have More Controls. Cheap Center Satellite Stand.
Are you looking for the 5.1 surround sound experience but don’t quite have loads of cash? Well, I once answered yes to that question and now I have used this set of speakers for a good few months and thought it would be appropriate to share with you my ...
Pros: Great sound. Nice eye-catching design. Cool ability to switch songs. 2 speakers save space. Cons: Buttons are temperamental. Controlling speaker does get hot after extended use.
These speakers first caught my eye with their looks and did not disappoint in quality. They are everything that I hoped to get. I got them because my desk is already crowded and one more wire for a subwoofer would have confused things even more. The two ...
Pros: Great bang for the buck. Cons: few minor flaws but for this price... no big deal.
was looking for a cheap set of speakers for a computer I was building and saw these for 60 bucks so figured it was worth a shot to purchase them. They are being driven by a SoundBlaster x-fi platinum. With the satellites they have decent midrange and ...
Pros: Clean sound, powerful subwoofer, attractive design. Good overall value. Cons: Cables could be longer, satellite speakers show dust easily.
I blew out a set of Creative Inspire T5400 speakers, and found this Logitech X-530 set on sale for $40 at Buy.com. Overall I must say I am very pleased with their performance. The sub, although small, produces relatively clean and deep bass. The sub's ...
Pros: Inexpensive, clear crisp sound, good bass, good balance between satellites and sub Cons: short speaker wires
If youre reading this, you are probably interested in the Logitech X-530 5.1 speaker system. I am very satisfied with mine, but before you buy it, let me tell you a little bit about it. The speakers are very clear, the bass is good, and overall I ...
Pros: Kicks a$$ sound wise, if your set is working properly.
Cons: Is all that subtle crackling and popping normal? Uh uh, I don't think so.
I bought this because I'd read a raving review in PC Gamer way back in 2000 (a big gaming magazine that I used to read a lot, being into computer games) for a very similar set of speakers from Klipsch---the regular 2.1 ( ...
Logitech Z-4 Computer Speaks by kevlab6710 ,Nov 13 '06
Pros: Good Value Overall
Good Bass
Update: Hard to beat for $ Cons: Flat Mid's
Highs Almost Cant be Heard
Update:
Not quite speaker I was hoping for
I am pleased with my purchase, however I little disappointed in the range. The Subwoofer is great. The Satelites, lack high range (ie. the "ting" of the drumstick on the symbol crash. The Mid range is kind of flat. If you broke down the frequencies into 5 categories(1 being high frequencies) they would rate as follows.
1 - Poor
2 - Good
3 - (Mid) flat
4 - Good
5 - Bass Very Good
I got these Speakers from BJs for $48net(Clearance Price Rebate$15) --- they were $104 next door @ Best Buy
For the Price I paid I am pleased but wish the satelites had better range
Update:
After about 1 month with these speakers and hearing various other speakers in price range up to about $150 regular price, I cant say there is a speaker I heard that was better overall.
Update:
Being Critical it was not the speaker I was hoping for, but for the price they are to beat.
Ps. I believe the last time I was in BJs the last pair the had dropped to $34 w/ $15 rebate
Solid Sound for a Solid Price by saloman12 ,Dec 26 '05
Pros: Reasonably priced, nice sound quality, wall mountable Cons: setting up speakers into sound card can be confusing, could use a bit longer cords.
I bought these speakers for use in a regular sized bed room for normal media (music, movies) on my computer. For the price I paid for these I wasnt expecting much, but they are suprisingly good for their price. They dont match up to the higher end speakers, but for what I use them for they do their job very well.
I've had them for half a year and so far no problems. They seem very durable and sturdy, as well each speaker has the ability to be wall mounted.
These speakers will give you a very good bang for your buck.
Pros: Small footprint, Awesome sound, Bass Control knob Cons: Can be too loud, finicky controls
I have two sets of these wonderful speakers. I use one at home on a macmini as a media hub and home studio. The other set I have is used at work with a Roku Soundbride to provide ambient music at the store I work at. I listen to a wide variety of music and find that they can make pretty much any music sound as it should. One thing I don't like about it is that encoding artifacts and lower bitrate mp3's really take away from the listening experiance. I found myself re-ripping and redownloading alot of my collection to a higher quality. I had a set of the Promedia 5.1's that I lost in to hurricane Katrina and these are serving as a semi replacement. Sounds great in a large room or a small room. A++++
Unbeatable sound quality for the price by psuedofire22 ,Mar 29 '06
Pros: Full range sound. cheap excellent 5.1 system Cons: short cords
These are excellent computer/game console speakers with a mid range!!! most of the speakers I have tried are missing the mid range but these seem to have it. I was first skeptical about the price because it was so cheap but I bought them anyway to try them. I got home and hooked them up to my TV and the speakers filled the room with full even crisp sound. The only con I have is that the cables are a little short for my room. otherwise I give them 5 stars for value and quality. This is also one of the few systems that provides a adaptor for a TV or game system
