This PUR water filtration system does the job advertised. The product is easy to assemble onto the faucet and is ready to go. Run the water for a few minutes and you can begin drinking.

The quality of the water is fine. No complaints taste wise.

The biggest problem is one of flexibility. With just a faucet, you can move around. With a huge filter attached to the end, the range of motion is limited. This makes it difficult to maneuver especially with dishes in the sink.

I have been using the same filter for a few weeks, so I can’t comment on how quickly it must be replaced.

I purchased the product at Costco and it came with extra filters.


UPDATE: 8 months later, the filter hasn't needed to be changed. Bravo - excellent filter. Water tastes great.

I've been using this filtration system for quite a while but I'm getting tired of sending the housings to the landfill. I use a lot of water for ice and drinking and the filter part is great. The thing is, the housings (mount part) continually crack and start dripping. Pur finally (I think) fixed the cheap screw-on adapter thing, but now the filter indicator window is cracked and shoots water out!!! I call Pur every time the new one cracks and they send me a coupon for a new housing. But as long as they keep making them in China and lag on their quality control, I'm gonna finally say adios and go to the Sears one. Everything is made so cheaply these days and it's a real shame that nothing lasts more than a month or so. These poorly made products just clog up our planet with ever growing land fills.
