Pros: Fun group activity, options for play are limitless Cons: Requires more than one adult, or a group to play/enjoy the best, space!
When my now four year old son first began receiving therapy services one of his very first teachers (who I owe the world to) introduced him to playing with a parachute. At the very end of her session with him she would save a few minutes and go into her ...

Funchute is excellent for team building!
by lynn51907 ,Oct 01 '06
Pros: Great for indoors as well as outdoors! Cons: I haven't found any yet!
I am the Program Assistant Director at a child care facility. One of our teachers saw this and decided to bring it in to use with our Pre K classroom. (ages 4 and 5) It was an instant hit!! The children, when taken outside, were told they could play a game with the funchute or play on the equipment on the playground The teacher had different games already set that could be used for this game! The first one she tried was to put a ball in the middle and the goal was for the kids to keep the ball on the funchute and to not let it go out! Another game was when the funchute was up, the teacher would yell "apples" and all the kids who had been designated "apples" would run under to a different spot before the funchute came down!
The kids were entertained and learning teamwork as well!
