Pros: Slim, color, and handy Cons: Expensive, dim screen
I tried the Handspring Visor, and the Compaq Ipaq, before settling on the Palm m505. Comparatively I am happy with the choice I made. The Palm is the best way to go with PDA's on the market today, although I don't think color is as important as I...

Pros: Size, style, and functionality Cons: can't compare to the RIM Blackberry
I was really excited to hear that Palm was about to release their latest and greatest addition to the Palm PDA product line. When I caught the first glimpse, I was happy to see that they have heard the response from consumers: that the Palm V had the...

Pros: Sleek, sturdy design. Expansion slot. Better functionality. Faster OS. Cons: No programs, no accessories available yet.
If youre reading this epinion, then you are probably already familiar with the Palm m505, have been to the Palm website, checked out all the reviews and specs available on this gadget, and have been waiting thru months of hype and delayed release....

Pros: light and small, battery life, color screen, software packages Cons: no music or sound
I believe many people were mistaken when they said that the screen is
poor esp. under poor light conditions.
The architecture of the lighting...

Pros: Size, Color, Expansion - did I mention size? Cons: Screen contrast, form factor modifications
For a long time, I've lived with a Palm V. Yeah, the one with only 2MB of memory. And after having to spend so much time managing my apps to keep within the measly 2MB barrier, I finally decided that it was time to take a step up. It just so happened...

Pros: Size, Style, Software Availability, Expansion Slot, Vibrate and Flashing LED function Cons: Screen is disappointing, New connection for accessories and cradle
Like everyone else, I anxiously awaited the delivery of my Palm m505. After many false promises and estimated delivery dates, I didn't know when to expect it. I finally received it on May 11, 2001 and quickly popped it into the charger for two hours....

Pros: Slim and sturdy form factor, good battery life, colour, expandability Cons: Incompatible with older accessories
Backstory
After 2 years with my faithful Palm V (upgraded to 8 MB), two weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and get the new top of the line Palm handheld, the m505. The main reasons for my upgrade were expandability and colour. My...

Pros: FINALLY, in Color! AND it's the same price the Vx was selling for. Cons: Not bright, but who cares! It works!
For all the people out there complaining about the screen:
When the screen used to be bright (Palm IIIc), what was the problem? You couldn't see it that well in sunlight. Now that you can see it great in sunlight, why is everyone...

Pros: Ample memory, expandable, portable (small!), best daylight screen I've ever seen, color. Cons: Had to be exchanged (USB sync), but I ended up with a better unit.
That niche being those of us who want a SMALL form factor and lots of power. I've had mine since October (I paid 450 for it; that was before the big price drop and the free 16meg card. Curses.) minus the 14 days it took for Palm to exchange it for an...

Pros: Size, Quick hot sync, Apps, Expansion slots. Cons: Colors are ok, sync cradle
I purchased this unit last week after using the palm 3c. I went to the store a couple of weeks ago and took a look at the demo unit. I said no way. It is too hard to read the screen. I went to another store a week later and got to use an non demo...

Pros: Small, thin, light. Color reflective screen rocks. Good battery life. Expansion cards are not proprietary. Cons: Expensive, new connection scheme makes old peripherals obsolete. Sidelights are fixed brightness.
Okay, I'm a Palm junkie...but I wasn't going to buy this one. I was going to sit this generation out having bought a Visor Platinum. My Visor was getting on my nerves as it wasn't _that_ much faster than the Palm Vx it replaced and it was a big lunker....

Pros: The color screen is very good and very easy to see. Cons: It's still too expensive.
The screen is as good as Sony's PDA, but it's costing more than a Sony. However, it's smaller in size. Also, the screen is a little bit bigger than the Sony PDA. I perfer to have a big screen because it would be much easier to see. If you want to get...

Pros: Easy upgrades, nice design, a great little palm Cons: Faded display, hard to see sometimes
I bought a M505 on an upgrade from my well loved IIIxe. I thought that it was the best!! Color screen for the first time is an eye opener. You can see in all different light.. and it really was exciting to me to see the difference. However, it was...

Pros: Ultra thin design, SD/MMC expansion slot, LED alarm, great software bundle Cons: Color screen is dark, not compatible with Palm V accessories
Since Palm's last evolutionary offering in the world of PDAs, the Palm VII, people have been left wondering where the company would go next. With increasing competition from Handspring and Sony, Palm has finally answered back with their m500 PDAs. And...
