Pros: Windows Mobile 5, Familiar Treo-Layout, Generous Amount of Memory, EV-DO Support, DIGITIZED SCREEN Cons: Laggy, Smaller Screen, Pricey, Poorer Clarity Versus Palm?, Lacks Features of Other WM Phones
I was amazed when I learned that Palm would create a Windows-Powered device. This became the Palm Treo 700w, and then the Palm Treo 700wx that runs on the Sprint network. There is also a similar phone, the Palm Treo 750 that is a GSM model using ...

Excellent phone functionality Cons: Insufficient memory

Awkward stylus
When I first read about the uholy marriage of Windows Mobile and a Palm device I was understandably both intrigued and skeptical. The Palm Treo's have been a top choice of PDA-Phone users ever since their introduction. However, there is a segment of ...

I have been putting the Treo 700W through its paces in a rather intense fashion lately. I have to tell you, there's a lot to like. Unfortunately, there are also some things to dislike and I'll get into both of those here.First, I have to preface ...

I was so excited to that PALM was making the Treo 700w. I have been an avid Pocket PC, Windows Mobile user for years. Over all I really like the operating system. I have to say however, after purchasing the Treo 700w I was disappointed. I have ...
Pros: Good camera, great programs Cons: Somewhat heavy and bulky
I purchased this phone with Verizon when my old phone was slowly dying and my PDA had kicked the bucket. Overall it was a good choice. My only regret is that it isn't completely compatible with Apple computers (and I'm switching over in the next couple ...

Pros: form and feel, internet access is fine, stylish Cons: bluetooth doesn't work correctly, power cord doesn't stay in, call waiting doesn't work
I purchased the Palm Treo 700wx because I wanted to get my emails while away from the office and getting emails and on the net has been fine with the phone. However, that is where the phone stops being useful. Don't get me wrong, I want to like this ...

Absolutely THE worst M$ Windows product.... by wetchicken ,Apr 04 '09
Pros: All in one organizer and phone. Cons: Unreliable.
I was so excited with the hope to be able to organize my life with this PDA cellphone combination!!
Unfortunately it is THE worst windows OS that I have ever used, definitely worse than Windows ME. It is buggy, slow, crashes, locks up, and most notably, it occaisionally crashes when I have an incoming phone call. What a feature!! Resetting it is even more of a treat when you have a cover on it and have to remove it every time.
I previously had a Palm III (I know, it's an oldie) with the Palm OS, and found it to be a great tool. I don't understand how Palm deals with this embarrasment and doesn't require a better product.
This problem existed from day 1 with the PDA, before any updates or additional software. Anyone want to trade me for a Palm OS?
Bring on my Samsung SCH-i760 by kman308 ,May 14 '08
Pros: Doesn't drop as many calls as my 600 or 650, one-handed operation fairly easy Cons: Lag time, small keypad, small screen, crappy ringtones
I have used the Treo 600, 650, and now the 700. I must say this one is probably the worst of the 3. Even with the huge memory expansion from the 650, this device has a lag time like no other. I drop calls, and even worse, when I hang up a call, etc... there is a delay of well over a few seconds. By the time I've pressed "hang up" 2 or 3 times, the device memorizes all screen touches, and by that time, it's delved into my contacts list and either calls another number or asks me if I want to page someone. I can't tell when the device accepts a screen touch or not. What an investment for such poor performance. My new Samsung SCH-i760 can't get here too soon.
Pros: Small, compact, good phone, good bluetooth Cons: Weak Database integration between contacts data and cellphone interface when searching company directories.
I had the 700wx for about a week after using my HP Ipaq for years with great success. While using my Ipaq and Handspring Visor Prior to that, I had accumulated 2000+ client names in the database. When I went to access them in thhe 700 wx,sorting by company, the unit locked up for over a minute, making the unit inadaquate for a user looking for a phone number to dial from your database.
I ended up getting the TREO 755P (Palm OS) version and like it much better....But it, too cannot search and provide a listing of contacts grouped under a single particular company that you may just happen to do a lot of business with.
So essentially, both of these tools are good for the user that searches by name, but until the designers enhance the OS to improve the trunkate and search function by company, I would be skeptical of the search capability by company function.
Phone functionality is fine, Bluetooth is fine, internet capability is fine, as well.
Does everything, but nothing well by adamselene ,Mar 25 '07
Pros: Does everything I need: phone, calendar, address book, Internet. Cons: Small screen compared to the PDA it replaced. Call quality sucks--is it Sprint?
I have had the Treo 700WX for over six months now. I am on the second phone. I replaced the original because it kept "unselecting" the Bluetooth device, dropping calls, and generally poor performance. The new device isn't any better.
I have spoken with other Treo 700WX owners about call quality and they seem pleased. They were Verison customers, I am on Sprint. This is for Metro Atlanta service. I will cut the Treo some slack; although other Sprint phones seem to have good signal.
