Pros: Cores an apple within seconds.
Cons: Not child proof, has sharp edges.
Ever wonder where they get the name Pampered Chef from? Well, they get it from us. You ask why is that? Because the inventor that thought of this is getting rich. You can only get this through you neighborhood Pampered Chef dealer. It will only cost ...

Not even Granny Smith can slice a better apple- The Pampered Chef Apple Wedger

by patch3boys Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Oct 30 '02
Pros: Handles designed well to get a good grip; slices an apple into perfect wedges.
Cons: Sharp on one side, so be careful when rummaging for it in the utensil drawer.
The Pampered Chef Apple Wedger was one of those "free gifts" that the PC lady threw in with my order after I hosted a party for her in my home. It was just a little something to show her appreciation. To be completely honest, I didn't know...

So why doesn't this kitchen gadget junkie use her PC Apple Wedger?

by sblaydes Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Oct 14 '02
Pros: Great concept, fairly easy to use.
Cons: Does not remove the skin from the apple.
As I have mentioned in many of my most recent Home & Garden reviews, I am a kitchen gadget junkie. And for those of you who have been wondering to yourself … is sblaydes a Pampered Chef consultant, the answer is no. Apparently I have just...

Oh Nifty, It's The Pampered Chef Apple Wedger

by merlot Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Oct 11 '02
Pros: It wedges apples easily
Cons: Apples have to be almost perfectly shaped
I had seen The Pampered Chef Apple Wedger at many kitchen demonstrations and never really felt the need to have it. I already had the Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer and figured that served my needs. Then my daughter started school and I was looking for ways...

10 Wedgies a Day keeps the Doctor Away - Pampered Chef Apple Wedger 2425

by marytara Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Oct 27 '03
Pros: Easy to use, quick, cuts even wedges, dishwasher safe
Cons: I didn't buy it sooner. Suzanne (sblaydes) doesn't like hers!
This is one of those items that I would never have purchased for myself pre-motherhood. I like apples, but am content to eat them whole on the rare occasion that I do so. My 2-year-old, on the other hand, loves apples and wants to eat them ...

The Apple Wedger I Never Knew I Needed Until I Had One by Pampered Chef

by mind-full Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Oct 17 '02
Pros: slices and cores in approximately one easy motion, dishwasher safe
Cons: none

The Pampered Chef Apple Corer/Wedger celebrated its 4th anniversary in my home last month and though definitely a gadget of singular use, is one of the most-used in my "tool drawer".

So Here Goes

Pick a...

Toss It or Keep It? It's a Toss Up.

by Barefooter Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Nov 08 '02
Pros: Hey, it slices!
Cons: It doesn't slice all the way through.
"What a neat gadget!" I thought to myself as I perused a Pampered Chef catalog at a party. Stuffing a wedge of veggie pizza into my mouth, I thought of how easy it would be to whip out this tool the next time I heard, "Mom, can you peel me an apple?"...

No More Extra Slicing For Me

by dev-n-diva Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, May 18 '08
Pros: sharp, even slices, cuts prep time in half
Cons: none for us
I have owned quite a few different pampered chef products over the last ten years. There are only a few products that I have been disappointed in from pampered chef. The apple wedger has been used in my household on a weekly basis since I purchased it ...

Got Kids Who Love Apples..Get the Pampered Chef Apple Wedger

by mumms5 , Apr 12 '06
Pros: slices evenly and with in seconds, clean up, protective cover
Cons: doesn't slice through the apple completely, doesn't peel the apple
I have always loved Pampered Chef’s products and when my sister in law had a party a month ago I was trying to find something I would actually use rather than buy and throw in a drawer (which I’m known to do time to time.) After looking for ...

Pampered Chef Apple Wedger - core and slice in one quick action

by uglybugg Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jun 13 '06
Pros: Quickly and easily cuts, cores, and seeds apples (even hard, green apples), cuts even wedges.
Cons: Extremely sharp so use caution when using and storing.
I mentioned in my last Pampered Chef review that I've been to tons of parties because once lived in a small town where there wasn't much else to do except go to PC parties. I therefore have tons of PC products and usually know more about them than the ...

Pros:

Easy, Convenient, Small, Inexpensive

Cons:

Sharp on one side(tough on fingers in utensil drawer)

Good product, but a pricey, frill-free version

by lzybeanie , Aug 08 '07
Pros: Sturdy, stainless steel product from a very trustworthy company.
Cons: Pricier than Good Grips and Kitchen Aid, and with a less comfortable design.
As with most Pampered Chef products, the concept of the gadget is great, but I find that I can usually find something equivalent made by OXO Good Grips or Kitchen Aid at Target or Kohl's for much cheaper (especially given Kohl's sales). In the case of ...

Wow, something USEFUL from Pampered Chef!

by orioles35 , Dec 31 '02
Pros: No knives to fool with
Cons: Utensil is tough to clean, extra large apples don't work with this
Yep, I said it. A useful Pampered Chef product. Between all the nut smashers, ceramic casserole dishes and other stuff that 'supposedly' makes cooking/cleaning better, this product is actually useful. I take this to work nearly every day and use it...

Good for Children
by livsmom04 ,Nov 16 '06
Pros: Easy to use and clean.
Cons: none
I purchased this product to help get my picky 2 year old to eat her fruit. She would eat applesauce and all that but when it came to eating whole apples it was near impossible for me to do this. I bought this and within the first week she was hooked on eating apple slices. Good for children who don't like eating fruit.
