Pros: I didn't spend a dime on it! Cons: doesn't work, doesn't work, doesn't work... and it's hard to store the box
For the first time in many years, I have close over a dozen holiday presents to deliver to non-family members. There's the teacher, the teacher's aide, the speech pathologist, the occupational therapist, the vb consultant, the home therapy team and so on ...

Pros: Fun, easy, wonderful during the holidays, time with the kids! Cons: Hot kitchen and love handles from too many cookies!?
Let me just say... I LOVE THIS GADGET!!! Now that I have that out of the way... here's the story!
When I got engaged two years ago, one of the first things a lady in my church did was to start planning a Pampered Bride shower for me. My...

Pros: Fun to make different shapes for different times. Cons: hard to get used to...
I bought my cookie press at a Pampered Chef party that my aunt had because just about everyone else at the party was getting one. Not just that, but my friends all had one and it was close to Christmas and we all wanted to make fun shaped Christmas...

This is a great Pampered Chef product.
by mainer531 ,Feb 06 '05
Pros: Great product. Fun to use. Lots of designs to use. Cons: Take time to get used to what the dough should be like to work well.
During the holidays this product does not spend a lot of time in the cupboard. My son and I have a great time making holiday cookies. With the large variety of disks that it comes with you can make all kinds of cookie designs. The spritz recipe that it comes with is great also. The first few times in the beginning you have to really measure ingredients carefully because if the dough is to wet or to dry then you might have a problem. After you have used a few times then you will know what the dough should be like.

Pros: NONE Cons: DOUGH DID NOT RELEASE FROM PRESS!
I was also sucked into buying the Pampered Chef cookie press. I figured why not invest in a "good" one so it would last a lifetime. I tried it alone twice with NO SUCCESS and then enlisted my sister who is a spritz cookie veteran. Her assessment was to throw it away as it is not worth the frustration! I had the same complaint as others. The dough does not release from the press. Don't waste your money. Pampered chef should take this product out of their line.

Wasted lots of butter and ingredients (and time)
by nottoospicy ,Dec 09 '07
Pros: none Cons: It just doesn't work!
I've worked with both manual and electric cookie presses over the years, and the Pampered Chef cookie press is one of the worst. I made 3 batches of spritz cookies trying to get the cookies to come out of the press correctly, and it just DIDN'T WORK. Very frustrating to say the least!! Each time, the dough didn't want to stick to the cookie sheet, or only a portion of it did.
Just because someone can make a product doesn't mean that they can make a QUALITY product - hard lesson learned. I've thrown the cookie press away, and will likely never purchase anything else from Pampered Chef again.
