Pros: No mess, has a lid for storing the butter when finished.

Butter Me UP! Pampered Chef Corn Butterer -- YOU NEED ONE!

by mind-full Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jul 15 '02
Pros: dishwasher safe, keeps corn-buttering a bit neater than normal, inexpensive
Cons: not widely known product, but should be
Corn on the cob is a summertime staple on the dinner table at the farmhouse in summer. Whenever I see a roadside sign or stand hand-lettered "SWEET CORN", I can't resist making a purchase for the evening meal.

To say we like corn on the...

A Lightly Buttered Ear of Corn

by mmcphee Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Mar 05 '06
Pros: A cute, novelty item
Cons: Doesn't really improve my corn buttering experience
We love corn-on-the-cob, and it is one of the few crops that we can easily purchase farm fresh around here. During the summer we eat a lot of it, dripping with butter. We use the Pampered Chef Corn Butterer a lot during the summer. The ...

Pampered Chef Corn Butterer: Corn Buttering for Compulsive Butter Managers

by pippadaisy Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Mar 22 '05
Pros: probably a great gadget for most folks
Cons: I have some serious corn buttering issues.
I have a huge psychological problem with buttering corn. My father, a former Navy Corpsman, is a bit, shall we say, fanatical about certain things. One of his all-time pet peeves is the condition of a stick of butter in a butter dish. No fan of tub ...

The Pampered Chef Corn Butterer: Hey Butter Butter Butter!

by jdhauer Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Dec 02 '09
Pros: inexpensive, dishwasher safe
Cons: does not fit my corn, doesn't hold full stick of butter, cultivates mold
Whenever I get invited to a "party" at someone's home, I always feel like I ought to buy "something". I usually either order one larger item (around $25) or a few of $3-$5 items, depending upon what's available and what's lacking in my ...

by workingmom07 , Mar 13 '07
Pros: Keeps hands clean, butters corn easily
Cons: Too much effort to get butter into the product.
We got this lovely little product as a wedding gift from a well meaning friend who knows my husband is crazy for corn on the cob. Normally I think that Pampered Chef is pretty brilliant about their products, always coming up with another nifty gadget ...

The Corn Butterer is a great buy

by sidneys , Mar 29 '07
Pros: Butters evenly Works well and easy to clean
Cons: Could be hard finding someone who sells
I think this is my husband’s favorite kitchen tool in the house. We love the corn butterer. The concept is really simple – you cut your butter in half in order to fit in the butterer and you put the butter in your butterer and the butterer comes with an ...

Works great, but splits
by harrylj ,Aug 20 '07
Pros: Works great, easier to butter corn with little mess
Cons: Butter needs to be soft when using
We have one of these butterers along with the screw-in corn cob holders. The butterer worked fine for several years but split open on the side (at a corner). The base did as well. It is probably due to the amount of pressure you have to exert to get the butter out when the butter is cold. It would be a good idea to let the butterer sit out for a while to let the butter soften. Or it may have been due to the expansion of the butter when it hardens up again in the fridge
