Pros: Leg area & tall backside rarely leaks, good for parents Cons: tabs cuts & sticks to skin, bulky bottom, pricey, not as good for baby
At the hospital, they used Pampers Newborn Swaddlers on my baby & those were great! So once my baby was big enough for size 1, I thought I'd stick with the Pampers brand & bought a Jumbo Pampers Baby-Dry diapers. I was surprised at the cost - a ...
Pros: They work ok. Cons: Not nearly as good as Swaddlers.
Size and Fit: These are a little smaller than Swaddlers, seem to be bigger than Huggies, and fit my baby while he was in the weight range on the package. I noticed that I could never get the tabs to come together as closely as I could on the Swaddlers. ...
Pros: Pretty much good for overnight. Pamper Points are great way to get toys. Cons: Sometimes the diaper will leak spilling the gel bits onto your child
I have been using Pampers Baby Dry Diapers overall they work well for overnight. Though sometimes the diaper will leak and the gel comes out and onto my childs stomach and leg area. Pampers has a excellent customer service and will replace the product when that happens. This is only a rare occurence. This is a great diaper.
Pros: coupons for these are everywhere Cons: they just don't cut it - leaks
We loved Pampers swaddlers, our son was using a size 1-2 and was outgrowing them. We bought size 2 in baby dry because we had a coupon. We were surprised when they didn't fit very well. They were very tight in the waist and leaked in the front, sides and back. We kept thinking we were doing something wrong and then I starting hearing similar remarks from all my friends with kids who told me swaddlers and cruisers are the only pampers that work.
Not a good diaper for boys by poohlicous ,Sep 14 '04
Pros: Had a coupon, liked the resealable tabs Cons: Leak! Leaks! Leak! Baby wakes up and the sheet is soaked.
I thought because Pampers was such a well known brand of diapers that they had to be the best, wrong! Boys and Girls need the padding in different places. My daughter was able to use Pampers fine, but my son who need more protection in the front doesn't get it. I have yet to find a diaper especially made for the different sexes.
Pampers Swaddlers are MUCH better! by egarris ,Nov 07 '06
Pros: absorbant Cons: don't fit well at all, no stretch
rough paper feel
I have a 12 week old son who is almost 10 pounds and we usually buy our diapers at Sams where I buy the Pampers Swaddlers. In the Swaddlers he wears a size 1 very easily- good fit, not too tight and never leak. Recently, however, I was given a pack of Pampers Baby Dry as a gift. It was a package of size 1 and states that it should fit 8-14 lbs just like the Swaddlers but they do not fit my son at all. There is almost no stretch in the waist and it is difficult for me to securely stick the tabs they pull so much and are so tight. My son is cranky when I use them and I feel as if they are painful. He is at the lower end of the weight requirement and he isn't chubby in the waist- these diapers should fit. I was very disappointed that within the same brand of diapers, the sizing could be that off. We will stick with the Swaddlers from now on- they fit better, are more comfortable, and feel much softer.
The best at preventing rashes! by desolatedoll ,Sep 27 '06
Pros: Keeps little bottoms dry. Cons: I do not think there are any cons.
I have two children and through my experience as a Mother one of the biggest problems my children have had is that they sweat a lot. Combine that with a bad diaper and the results were not good.
My children are very important to me and it was important to find a diaper that would be comfortable to them and that wouldn't give them a rash or aide in an already present diaper rash.
Pampers have done that for my children. They conture perfectly to my kids for a wonderful level of comfort, and they keep them dry. No leaks, no worsen diaper rash or getting it because the diaper failed. Pampers will always be my choice of diapers, they have not failed to deliver their promises of a great quality product.
Pros: No leaks, fit stated weight range... Cons: No stretch, fastening tabs are tape rather than velcro...
The hospital where my daughter was born sent us home with a package of Pampers Swaddlers. I had fallen in love with them before we left the hospital. After we used the package we had been given, I began to use the packages of diapers I received at my baby showers, one of which was Pampers Baby Dry. I thought since they were Pampers that they'd be very similar in quality to the Swaddlers. Boy, was I wrong. I didn't have any problems with leaks, and they fit the correct weight as stated on the packaging, but that is where my satisfaction with them ends. The Pampers Baby Dry do not have an elasticized waist band or fastening tabs like the Swaddlers, which means that they have no 'give' when baby moves. They look very ill-fitting and uncomfortable on my daughter. The fastening tabs are also made of very sticky tape, rather than velcro, and the tape sticks to skin. Overall, I'm very dissatisfied and extremely happy that I didn't waste my money on them!
Pros: Absorbant, pretty comfortable Cons: Smell like poops when diapers are wet
I bought pampers baby dry because they were on sale and I had a coupon. I don't like them. I mean they are absorbant and they seem comfortable, but they stink! When the baby pees, the diaper smells like poopies. My older kids keep running to me and saying " The baby pooooped!" . I have to change her every 30 minutes because of the smell so the diapers finish much faster.I mentioned this in church the other day and the other mothers agreed with me. They too said that the wet pampers diapers gave off a "number 2" smell.
