Pros: Snug fit with special mesh absorbaway liner for newborns. Cons: May not fit chubby babies as well.
Pampers Swaddlers Newborn Diapers were the perfect fit for my new grandson. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 4 oz. and lost a pound by the time he came home from the hospital. He was 19 1/2 inches long. He had long arms, legs, fingers and toes which ...
Pros: Soft, clothlike feel. Easy to open and wide re-sealable tabs. Cons: No elastic in the back, strongly scented.
I hadn't changed a diaper in something like 20 years so I was a bit out of touch when I went to Target during my third trimester. My sister-in-law came with me, but her children are older and they use Huggies brand. My friend with newborn twins had ...
Pros: Nice fit, soft feel, baby stays dryer. Cons: There are fewer to a package and they are a little more expensive.
My daughter just gave birth to my first grandchild and she asked us to buy diapers. Her dad and I went to Cosco and bought packages of different brands of diapers in different sizes for her. One brand was the Pampers Swaddlers in the Newborn size. ...
Pros: They are soft like fabric & don't leak. Cons: No cut out for belly button.
My baby was only 6 pounds 5 ounces at birth. I first tried Huggies newborn diapers (that is what they used at the hospital where I delivered) but they were just too big and they leaked out around his skinny little legs. After I got home, I tried just ...
Pros: Soft cloth feel, best stretch tabs of any diapers, very absorbent. Cons: A little on the pricey side if you buy in regular stores.
My baby started using Pampers Swaddlers in the hospital, as that is what was provided. I found them so awesome that I still use them today. Pampers Swaddlers are a very soft diaper, almost with a clothlike feel. They are very absorbent, and have Baby ...
Pros: ZERO leakage, perfect for small babies Cons: Expensive
My baby was 6 lbs 3oz by the time we got out of the hospitals, so nothing would fit, not even newborn clothes. This diaper saved us. It was the only diaper that fit and the only one that would not leak. I breastfed my baby so her poop was very runny ...
Pros: Fits preemies and small babies best, soft material, used in Hospital NICUs Cons: Expensive, only come in small count size packages
Our daughter was 6 lbs 8 oz at birth and she is very thin through her waist. She was two weeks early, so some people class her as premature and others don't --- but we did have to go through all the hospital's tests for preemies in the NICU! In the ...
Pros: No leaks and so soft on the baby!!! Cons: Not the cheapest diaper around
In the hospital, we were given a few packs of Pampers Swaddlers to use. When it came time to buy more, we decided to try a different brand. We have tried Huggies, Luvs, and several different store brands. Pampers was the ONLY brand that did not leak ...
When my daughter was born, the hospital gave us a free bag of Huggie diapers. The first bowel movement my little girl had LEAKED! Frantic because this was the first diaper I had ever changed, I decided to try a new line of diapers called Pampers ...
Pros: They DO keep babies skin away from the contents of the soiled diaper as advertised. Cons: Too abrasive for circumcised little boys!!
After delivering my son, I was sent home from the hospital with two packs of Pampers Swaddlers. Initially I was impressed with the patented design to protect baby's skin from the contents of the soiled diaper. This design consists of a layer of ...
Swaddlers caused diaper rash by belladessa ,Jun 26 '07
Pros: soft like fabric and comfortable for baby. Cons: My baby turned allergic to the fragrance/chemical in the lining and developed diaper rash.
I used these diapers exclusively for the first 4 months and then suddenly my daughter began having terrible diaper rashes. I finally switched brands (to huggies) and the rash cleared up in a couple of days. It's almost like there is a chemical in the diaper that causes urine to turn to gel. I think that must have been the problem with the swaddlers. Just to be sure that it was the diaper causing the rash I tried using the pampers swaddlers again once the rash cleared up and sure enough, the rash came back with a vengeance. I'm bummed because these are really the softest most comfy diapers I've found but I can't stand the diaper rash. I'll be using huggies from now on even though they aren't as soft. Never had a problem with either brand leaking.
Pros: NO LEAKS! GREAT HOLD! TIGHTER SNUGS ON THE SIDES OF THE LEGS! Cons: WOULD LIKE THE BACK OF THE DIAPER A LITTLE MORE SNUG.
I bought Pampers for my newborn--loved them. When those ran out, I got Huggies--lots of them--from my baby showers....so I started using these--I HATE them. I want to get rid of the rest because they LEAK like crazy. I've seen pee and poop come thru and out. Pampers has a nice snug fit, and they hold in the pee and poop excellently. I hate Huggies products--their wipes are weak--they rip!! When trying to take then out of the wipes container/warmer. I think you get what you pay for, and some may think Pampers Newborns are expensive--I don't care at this point....it's worth it for me, as well as my daughter. I love them. They're great!
These were very soft and gentle on my newborn by em1978 ,Jan 24 '05
Pros: Quilted, very soft Cons: No umbilical cutout
These diapers seemed to be quilted inside, which was a plus. They had a pleasant smell, and didn't irritate my daughter's skin. They absorbed well, and the tabs held great. I only wish they'd provided the little cutout for the umbilical area, to prevent covering it. When I folded the top down, it was hard to fasten the tabs properly while she was squirming.
Pros: They have a cloth feel to them. Less leaks. Cute design on them. Cons: The only problem is that the package needs to come in more quantity.
Pampers swaddlers Newborn are a really good diaper. I used this diaper on my newborn son. The stretch tabs are a really good feature because they wrap snug around baby. I found there were fewer leaks with this diaper. They also have a nice cloth feeling and look comfortable.
Pros: Fits well, absorbs well Cons: Liner gets stuck to baby's bottom, strong perfume causes diaper rash
These diapers are just far too scented (baby powder smell)for a sensitive skinned babe - my baby broke out in a rash after only a few days use. The weave type liner also sticks to her bottom with any bowel movement (even if changed right away). I really dislike these diapers.
