Pros: Lightweight, easy functions Cons: Limited settings, low jet steam
I must admit I am the kind of man who likes cordless. I like the fact that you can be anywhere and not have think "chain" dragging behind you which is the reason I purchased the Panasonic NI-L45NR Cordless Steam Iron. THE UNIT : The iron is smaller ...

Pros: Excellent steam, removable water container, weight of iron, heat temperature Cons: NONE
I've always hated to iron. The cords are always in the way. My only board is one of those small ones I throw on my bed or an end table. Unfortunately my job requires that I have an ironed tuxedo shirt and pants daily and ok I guess it should so the rest ...

Pros: Cordless!!!!! Nice steam pulses, stays nice and hot. Cons: None
I HATE to iron--the board is too low and my iron never worked well. At last, the iron I have had for 10 years leaked rusty water onto my husband's nice white shirt, and I had to look for a replacement. I immediately checked out Epinions and found many ...

Great overall value and it's nice with no chord
by jeramy_fishel ,Mar 14 '05
Pros: No chord, Good steam, Charges quickly, Big enough but compact Cons: Takes a little while to warm up for the first charge, but nothing too extreme
I was a bit skeptical when I purchased the Pansonic Cordless Steam Iron. It has delivered. It only takes a second or two inbetween adjusting my clothes to charge the iron back up to an acceptable heat level. It conserves steam nicely and not having a chord in the way has really made ironing dress shirts easy.
This is a wonderful iron and a great value. I'm not sure I'll be taking it with me in that fancy-dancy travel case, but I guess I can't complain about having the option available to me.
I'd definitely recommend this iron to anyone looking for a great value and an iron with enough heat and steam to get the job done.

Really impressed with my Panasonic Cordless iron
by nanjvp ,Nov 11 '06
Pros: as good as a cord iron/great for left handed people Cons: None
Wow this iron is fantastic. I just finished ironing 15 polo shirts and the cordless iron did an excellent job with each shirt. I put the iron in the charger only when I was adjusting the shirts. I also did one shirt without putting it in the charger, just to see if it stayed hot, and it did. I only had to fill the water tank twice. The steam was also enough to get the wrinkles out. Now that I have a cordless I will never go back to a cord. Being a left handed person I always had a hard time ironing with a cord, now it's a breeze. Great job Panasonic, I'm impressed. I also love the cord on the base that retracts automatically.

I just LOVE my new iron!!
by reneeminich ,Aug 09 '05
Pros: Cordless feature. Retractable cord on the charging base. Removeable water tank. Cons: NONE!!
I can't say enough great things about this iron. I gave up ironing before I tried the Panasonic NI-L45NR. I continuously burned myself every time I set the iron down. With this iron it's impossible to burn yourself because you set the iron straight down on the charging base. To make things more wonderful, it is so easy to iron without a cord getting in the way. The iron heats up very quickly and stays hot. I also love the removable water tank. It makes life easy when filling with water. I give this iron an A PLUS and would highly recommend it.

Does not produce CRISPLY IRONED SHIRTS!
by lpowmacback ,May 24 '07
Pros: No cord is convenient. Cons: Not hot enough - long enough for a crisp 100% cotton shirt.
After reading all of the wonderful reviews on this iron, when I needed a new one, I ran to get it!
While having no cord to contend with is a wonderful thing, the heat and steam produced by this iron were not sufficient to produce crisply ironed cotton shirts!
It took longer than a corded iron to heat up, and once it was ready, did a lack-luster job, specifically on 100% cotton shirts. Nearing the end of ironing a shirt, the charge did not last as long either - so I'd have to let it sit in the charger LONGER... it was a drag - and not worth the convenience of no cord.

Not for quilters
by lisettemca ,Aug 08 '07
Pros: Portable, sleek, good water tank, nice push button features, dust cover Cons: Not for high heat quilting cottons or marathon ironing.
I bought this iron for ironing quilting cottons and batiks and the never ending chore of seams- well- the iron does not heat enough to tackle 100 percent cottons. I am sure it is nice for mixed fibers and ironing of household clothes- but not a quilting iron. I returned it still in disbelief that cordless does not mean 'heats all the time' but means 'heats when in cradle'. I found a 1960's garage sale iron that heats well (it was brand new) and believe it or not, that is the one I use to do my quilting with.

Won't stay Hot.
by shellyopinion ,Mar 30 '08
Pros: Really cute design. And a good idea in theory. Cons: cools as soon as it's off the cradle.
Maybe mine is a lemon, but I need to put it back into the cradle to worm up again after about 3 or 4 passes of ironing. It's as if I had a regular iron that I just keep plugging and unplugging from the wall, cools down instantly. Do the others do that?

by adelaide42 ,Sep 14 '06

Great For Quilters
by ddpblue ,Jan 04 '09
Pros: Good steam No tangling cords Removable water tank Charges fast Tavels well with case. Cons: None
I was given the Iron for Xmas about 4 years ago by my husband and will never go back to a corded Iron. I'm a quilter and this was one of the best gift I was ever given. It's a great value and does the job. I'd definitely recommend this iron to any quilter. The first charge does take a few minutes to charge and the in-between ones are ample time to get the job done.

I Love This Iron
by sudsyri ,Aug 09 '06
Pros: Convenience, ease of use and quality of ironing Cons: None in my opinion
I can't say anything negative about this iron. It is so convenient. It gets very hot and maintains its heat and does a wonderful job. I love it so much that I just bought a second one for a friend for Christmas. I definitely give it five stars.
