Pros: Nice little camera and the Mega Burst features makes it more fun! Cons: This entry level model lacks some features I could have used.
Overview The Mega-Bust feature made the Panasonic cameras stand out from the pack, and it was the main reason for my choice. The digital revolution was passing me by, so I finally decided to get on board. I wanted a small camera that I...
Pros: World's leading "Leica" lense, Macro mode, 20 sec video with sound, easy to use Cons: flimsy battery door; looks like it will break anytime
I ran into this camera while shopping for a retirement gift for my Uncle. This camera was advertised in Officemax for $149.00 on sale special and it sold out very quickly (15 in one day!!). I went to kitz camera's and they were able to not only match the...
Pros: picture quality, ease of use Cons: a bit slow, plastic case
The Camera is made on a LEICA basis whichj ensure good quality pictures. The camera is easy to use and will satisfy the people who want to use it for holidays or family shots. The time beetween two shots is a bit slow it can be fustrating. The...
Pros: Multiple "auto" modes. SD memory cards. Uses AA batteries. Good picture quality. Cons: Only 3x zoom.
The DMC-LC20 is a very good entry level digital camera. It takes good pictures in all situations. The auto settings mode doesn't work very well in bright sunlight but there is another outdoor mode that works quite well. The main downside to this...
Pros: Durable, great pictures in good ambient light
SD Memory cards are convenient. Cons: Low-light: flash/focus weak in dark
Shutter delay: too long in low light
I bought this camera because of the Leica lens. I've not been disappointed. Features a good zoom length -- 35mm equivalent of 35 (wide angle) to 105 (2x telephoto). I use NiMH batteries in it. I have a bunch of them so I always have a bunch of ...
Pros: Great camera - awesome outdoor shots Cons: Not the best flash, so indoor shots are underexposed
I have had this camera for more than two months now, and would give it a 4.5 out of 5 points. The plus points are that it has all the nifty features such as mpeg movie mode (both audio and video), then it has landscape mode, macro mode. Another great...
One requirement that they inadequately tested by judydh ,Jan 09 '04
Pros: The video cam function works! Good outdoors camera, and sunsets and night stills render beautifully. Cons: The viewfinder sucks, which means you can't take great pictures in low light.
I have taken a lot of pics with this camera - it is great for travel! However, indoor pics are much more inconsistent in quality, and the battery must always be fully charged as the focus-to-flash wait (and also the wait to view the processed image) is annoyingly long.
There are three deficiencies in design and function:
1) The viewfinder is incredibly tiny, and the red and green function LEDs on the right side obstruct your view in a major way - in dark conditions, it is extremely difficult to use.
2) The Display also interferes with using the viewfinder, and with the above problem, even when you turn it off, you cannot make an accurate view. The Display is not sensitive enough to use in low-light conditions. Unless you are using a tripod or have a patient subject, in low light, the pictures you take end up blurry.
3) The Burst mode doesn't work on my camera.
4) The AutoSlow flash feature (or night settings) always requires a tripod.
5) Beware cold weather, or the batteries won't give enough juice (missed an amazing wildlife photo this way).
Great camera for beginners by cmaehansen ,Jan 25 '05
Pros: Easy to use, good picture quality for only 2.0 MP, rechargeable batteries Cons: takes up to 10 seconds to burn the image
I purchased this two years ago and have been very satisfied as a starter digital camera. The camera is easy to use but requires a lot more preparation than with film cameras. Spare batteries and making sure enough space exists on your SD card is a must. Windows XP does a good job managing pictures, but doesn't recognize movie data file. Overall a good camera for the price.
Quite a nice camera for... by louis_dt3000 ,Dec 19 '02
Quite a nice camera for its price. The camera has a battery charger included in the package, but there is no external power supply included to plug into the side of the camera.
I found out that this camera is very good, in the sense of the money value that I spent.
It is easy to operate and the batery can stay longer, or it is not use a lot of batery
Small size makes it handy... by uknj13_dt3000 ,Nov 08 '02
Small size makes it handy to carry around. Very good lens, fully auto everything and made well. Photos are very sharp and clear. So far I like this camera. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants a easy to use auto camera, not to someone who is looking for a manual adjustable type camera.
I searched for several months... by rbl212_dt3000 ,Feb 07 '03
I searched for several months for a good 2 mp camera. After OfficeMax had a special rebate the price made it worth a try ($200 after rebate with a free 128 mb card). I have been happy with the unit so far, although, as some have said, the indoor pictures greater than about 8 feet come out somewhat dark. Nevertheless, I would recommend it (my son bought one a few days later). The inclusion of a battery charge was nice. Had to buy a case for about $15 but still worth it.
I took about 300 shots... by tyler_dt3002 ,Mar 01 '03
I took about 300 shots with this camera. The picture came out pretty good. First, 100 shot I kinda try to experiment with various lightning condition to look for the camera limitation. For in door shots are little on the dark side but you can manualy adjust the white balance or increase the asa setting to 400 iso. This camera take beautiful out door shot ( very warm tone , Leica pride) for people shot, I suggest taking shot not further than 8 feet away and avoid using zoom as much as possible.( use the manual flash instead of the auto flash for back light condition). This camera takes very nice close up shots for Ebay stuff (suggesting using the tripod with no flash if more lighting is needed use the reflector (a notebook with a good flash light will do). This camera does have lots of limitation, but if you keep playing around to explore it strengh at weakness, you will love this camera. A keeper!!
It is true, bad photo... by behks_dt3000 ,Dec 06 '02
It is true, bad photo quality especially at night & cloudy scene, always looks dark and no way to make it brighter. This is after compared to my friends' Canon, Olympus, sony camera when taking at the same spot. No matter how hard I try to adjust manually, even tripod is used, the effect still the same, dark & blur(1600x1200 size) images...
Not recommend to buy this, more prefer canon.
