I was hesitant about buying another Panasonic product after my fax/phone/message unit died. What was most important to me was clarity. I was so sick of muffled or digital sounding incoming/outgoing messages and conversations. In my research I found this unit had a feature called, "Voice Enhancer Technology". I can honestly tell you that I have not had a phone sound better, with no static, popping or clicking and NO digital sounding voices. My outgoing and incoming messages on my answering machine are so clear I can actually hear the numbers being left (imagine that). The other pluses are the ring tone choices. Makes it kind of fun. It even comes with a shoulder rest.
