Pros: wide angle, small Cons: terrible low light photography, bad design, not great picture quality
Summary: Update 10/1/08My Lumix is history and I do not recommend this camera.I'm sort of relieved that my Lumix FX-01 is dead at Panasonic after I refused to pay $111 to have them fix my lens, which bent to the side, due to their design of an on and off ... read more

Pros: Does a great job at nearly everything you would expect of a digital camera. Cons: Sometimes does not focus correctly when dark, distance, flash photo.
Summary: Where to begin? When it comes to cameras, probably with a description of what I use it for. I am usually a casual photographer. The snapshot guy, indoors and out. The camera needs to be small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. Doesnt matter how great ... read more

Pros: Price, Leica lens, compact design, battery life, image stabilizer, wide-angle 28mm lens Cons: Battery charging requires removing battery from the camera. No case included
Summary: I have owned it for less than 7 days thus far, and the camera has satisfied me thus far. I did some research prior to buying the FX01 - key points that influenced my decision were: 1. Leica 28mm wide-angle lens in a compact camera 2. Great battery ... read more

Pros: Take-it-all-in wide angle: point and click almost always gets a useable picture. Cons: Relatively noisy (mostly chrominance), noticeable in large blowups. No zoom in movie mode.
Summary: Ease of use matters! When it comes to cameras, it's easy to let your desire for perfection get in the way of letting you take as many pictures as you should. I ooh and ah over the gorgeous, near noiseless photos from my Digital Rebel SLR (also 6 ... read more

Pros: Powerful, portable, flexible, and relatively inexpensive. Cons: I haven't found any yet.
Summary: I would like to let others know that the FX-01 has proven to be an excellent camera. As a real estate broker, a feature I particularly appreciate is that I can take a sharp 6 mega pixel picture and then easily create a copy of that picture with less ... read more

Pros: SMALL, SHARP, WIDE ANGLE, CUTE Cons: If I haven't found them by now, there aren't any to worry about.
Summary: A true POCKET camera. There are few digital cameras of any sort that zoom as wide as 28mm, which has always been a kind of "standard" lens for many people, including photojournalists. That means it really is essential as an option--and of course ... read more

Pros: good pictures Cons: Customer service is substandard, as is the product lifetime, or rather, the lack thereof.
Summary: I bought this camera hoping I would be able to get some better pictures of butterflies, flowers etc. I was attracted to the zoom, small size and image stabilizer. For the first month all went smoothly. The auto focus generally worked quick and fast,

Pros: thin, easy to use, large LCD Cons: none that i've noticed so far aside from the lens extension issue.
Summary: I purchased the Panasonic DMC-FX01 a couple of weeks ago and overall it's excellent! LCD - Huge LCD screen on the back which is clear and bright. My old Canon 3.0 megapixel screen was half the size. It really helps when deciding to keep or trash a

Pros: Small, lightweight, flexible camera with lots of capability. Cons: Picture size on back circle button versus the selftimer would make this a better camera.
Summary: I took this camera to Philmont Scout reservation on a 62 mile trek. I took photos before, during and after in all types of lighting conditions and situations and got lots of good photos. I purchase 2 additional 1300 mAh batteries and was able to take

Pros: Small, amazing battery, good video, good low light Cons: Video start LAG and Stop EARLY.
