Avoid at All Costs

Pros: None. Cons: Poor noise-cancellation; large size.
This product is currently advertised in the London Drugs flyer in Vancouver, Canada, for $49.99. In the store, the original price is listed as $99.99. The product seems like a good deal at the sale price (as most active noise-cancelling headphones range anywhere from $80 and up), but Panasonic has bombed with this product.
In turn, I exposed this unit to several sources of consistent, ambient noise: a bus engine, a refrigerator, a bathroom exhaust fan, and a white noise generator via my computer speakers. With the noise-cancelling circuit on, the hum of the fridge would dim very slightly. All of the other sources were not affected.
This model is quite new, and few reviews are available on the internet (amazon.com lists two cautionary ones, which I didn't find until a few moments ago). Luckily, because I bought the item from London Drugs, it was easy to return. I told them that the circuit was ineffective, but the salesperson didn't seem to care.
BTW, this product is massive. The earbuds cannot be removed from the case (within which is housed the noise-cancellation circuit). Most MP3 players are smaller than this thing.
