Pros: Great sound at a great price. Cons: Can't think of any, but I'm not an enthusiast.
Back in November of 2002, I made a bet with my husband. He'd been talking about wanting to lose weight because he wasn't happy with himself. So I said, okay - if you can get down below [target weight omitted] by Valentine's Day, you can buy yourself a...

Becareful it plays region 1 disks
After a very few reviews - I decided for this box. As it has all my requirements - a min 3 disc changer , shud play mp3 and have more than 1 audio input and in reality it has more than what I wanted. I have been using this for more than a year - and ...
Pros: Cheap price, lots of features Cons: Very touchy, cheaply made, very slow cd change.
I bought this system 7 months ago and it worked fine for the first three months, however the single loading cd changer is very very slow - 30-40 seconds to eject a cd, put in a new one, read the disk, and finally be ready to play. Now multiply that...

JUNK! Only lasts 5 months past warranty before going TU! by a1i50n ,Mar 09 '05
Pros: 5 disc changer, universal remote, looks good, good picture Cons: low-end surround, flimsy remote, gets very hot, and broke 5 months out of warranty
I bought this product because it was discontinued and marked down from the $400 retail price and because my family has had good experience with Panasonic in the past. I didn't have any bad experiences until it was 5 months past the 1 year warranty when it froze then quit reading discs - It would at first try to read the disc, but now doesn't, just immediately says "NO DISC". It gets very hot (to the point you can't touch it for more than about 5 seconds) - I called Panasonic about this the first day I had it and they told me that it was normal and that the cooling fan is thermastat controlled, so not a problem but I suspect it finally just cooked itself. Panasonic customer service was rude, on hold for 38 minutes for the 4th call before I just gave up. Repair shop estimate: $154. Think I'll just buy another brand.
Pros: Good semi serious entry level with plenty of features. Build and reliability good to date Cons: Poor overall Pro Logic. Set up with speakers a bit poor. A little bit big.
Excellent semi budget unit, easy to use, looks good. Sound below par in pro logic mode. Good build quality to date.
Pros: Looks cool and sounds cool for the price (till the warranty is
up) Cons: Piece of garbage and full of frustrations. Don't waste your
time with this unit.
Shortly after the warranty period the unit quit reading
audio discs. And it would play DVDs but what I didn't
realize was that it was scratching them. It would make
hundreds of small circular scratches around the bottom
of the DVD. It ended up damaging a few of our DVDs and
those of the local rental store. I'm still trying to
contact Panasonic, but so far I've only received one
email telling me they have heard of no problems with the
unit.
Pros: No Pros Cons: Expensive , had to repair it thrice
Very bad experience with the System...I had to get it repaired thrice. First two visits were covered but third one had cost be $125 . Will not suggest anyone .
Why spend thousands for a home theater? This $300 stereo is as good as any I have heard costing up to $1,000. Fairly easy to hook up, though speaker wires are thin (what, 22 gauge?).
The remote control is a little daunting for those of us who are technology-challenged, but with some tinkering and 2 phone calls to the VERY GOOD technical support number, all is well.
