Hard to say. First experience not good.

Pros: none that i can see yet Cons: poor instruction manual
No mention in directions that you should NOT stir the rice while it's cooking, nor should you remove cover. And while I had a pretty good idea that I should not do either of those things (because I'd heard that the beauty of these cookers is that you DON'T need to stir), what about people who have no clue? They need to STATE in the directions that you should NEVER stir until 15 mins. AFTER rice is cooked.
also, they need to take into consideration that people cook DIFFERENT types of rice (white, basmati, wild, etc) so they require different ratios of water. They gave no guidelines except to say 1 cup rice to 1 cup water, but "go by your own preferences". How is one supposed to know their preference if it's first time using a rice cooker?
So I made mixed wild rice for my first time using 1:1 ratio as manual suggested. Rice got stuck to the bottom of pan.
Maybe this cooker works well once you get system down, but their manual SUCKS.
