Pros: Near Times Square, Deeply discounted prices available Cons: Unbelievably tiny rooms
This hotel is in a great location and you cant beat the price, but my idea of 4 star hotel and the star-givers idea obviously are galaxies apart. We booked this room on a whim when one Saturday morning my husband woke me early to suggest we ...
Pros: Location, comfortable beds, good breakfast, helpful staff Cons: A bit noisy, lack of storage space, bad lighting in lifts
I read a lot of reviews about the Paramount and after my friend booked us into this place my expectations were not high. But it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Not perfect by a long shot, but not bad either. We booked a superior double room. ...
I booked the hotel for a business trip due to its location and also due to a desire to get away from the big chains and experience something modern and stylish. The price for a superior room ($169) was also quite reasonable. The hotel does not even have ...
Pros: Great location. Cons: Rooms are smaller than most closets.
My wife and I spent a week in NYC on a mix business/pleasure trip, and we decided to try out the much touted Ian Schrager designed Paramount Hotel. We found it on Expedia for $155, and we thought it was a reasonable deal for what was rated as a...
Pros: Oh so chic! Amazing lobby. Dean and DeLuca downstairs. Stylish. Cons: Tiny rooms with no place to unpack.
The Paramount is so cool that it doesn't even have a sign stating its name. Of course, when you've walked by it with your luggage, you're not sure that sign would really be so bad. But hey, you then bury that thought as you enter the lobby of this very...
Pros: Great location, but others are also Cons: Not enough space here
Just returned from a fantastic week in the Big Apple. Saw some great shows, ate a lot of wonderful food and met some great people. Downside is the Paramount hotel near Times Square. I had read the reviews of the tiny rooms after we had booked our ...
Pros: Amazingly designed; great umbrelas in rooms; located in Times Square Cons: Tiny, cold and windy rooms.

I've decided to write my own experience, after reading and identifying with what the other member wrote- It brought back a lot of good, and bad, memories....
After staying in this hotel, not only was I turned off by the whole Ian Schrager hotel concept, but I would think twice about staying in *any* boutique hotel.
If you put a two-bit rent-by-the-hour boarding joint from Panama city on top of a New York...
Warning, stay sway at all costs! by nyc_hotel_guy ,Aug 04 '07
Pros: Nice Staff Cons: No Food, No Ice, No Fridge, But lots of dirt!
The hotel has just changed hands and they closed there restaurants and canceled there room service as well as removed the mini bars. That's right can you believe that they expect to continue charging insane rates to stay in a closet size room and you can't even get a can of soda or even ice sent up to the rooms. Stay away at all costs you've been warned!
Tries hard - rooms WAY too small by dennisam ,May 15 '07
Pros: Location, staff, lobby decor Cons: Room size, dark elevators
Spent 3 days there May 2007 - great location - friendly staff - stylish lobby - rooms are way too small to be comfortable. We had one single and one double - there wasn't room to store a suitcase!
Pros: Impressive when you walk in. Nice bedding materials. Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE!
Pathetically tiny room with a gigantic creepy picture as the headboard, peeling paint, extremely overpriced, snobby staff. "Superior room"? Superior rip-off!
