Pros: Fun, awesome soundtrack, a flashback to excess. Cons: Too sympathetic.
We can all relate to the desire to escape the rat race, the "drearies and normals", and become full-time fun seekers, with no cares in the world. Of course, most of us don't factor drug addiction into that fantasy, and even the most fantastical ...

Pros: the crazy, prettiness of it all, Seth Green Cons: may be too much for some to handle, drug use

Party Monster?
by angrymonkey ,Aug 12 '05
Pros: True Story, Acting Cons: Making me jealous
I was suprised by Maculay's acting wow who knew he could play a happy go lucky raver, Micheal Alig?!!? but the whole bi-sexuality of his character, raises eyebrows towards him and Micheal Jackson. Seth Green as Jame St. James also astonished me. They were meant to play these rolls. Makes me wish for my raver days. :(

Strange, involving movie about EXCESS
by dqh257 ,Apr 18 '04
Pros: The acting. Cons: Too short. Whatever happened to Michael Alig?
Party Monster is an involving film about excess, drugs, gay culture, and sex. The movie is very well delivered and executed. Macauley Culkin and Seth Green are very convincing as gay men living in NYC.
