Pros: Yes they are one of the lowest-price tires around, and look good. Cons: High probability of trouble, no support from vendor or Goodyear
These tires are made for Discount Tire by Kelly-Springfield, owned by Goodyear. They are made to be the low-price "OEM-replacement level" tire. If you read that as a CHEAP TIRE, you are reading right.Odds are high you will have trouble with these ...
Pros: Tires look nice mounted with black lettering facing out. Good price Cons: Difficult to balance.
The Pathfinder Sport SUV tire has not lived up to what the salesman stated. I had these tires mounted on a Saturday. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot I noticed one of the balance weights fly off the left front tire. I returned to the store ...
Pros: TRACTION....TRACTION....TRACTION!!!
Wet or dry...doesn't matter!
Quiet and has improved the ride! Cons: have not found any
My 2001 Toyota Tundra came with Bridgestone duelers and although they lasted 44000 miles it was with very little wet traction! When I finally wore out the tires, I did some research and found these Pathfinders. They were priced around $100 each at...
Pros:Look good on truck w/black letters out... Cons:Worthless for use in any condition...poor wear life and poor traction.
I drive a 2005 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab w/a 4.0 V-6/6-speed. I purchased these tires for all around/all weather use for my job. These tires refuse to stay balanced, do not provide good traction and are wearing out too fast. ...
Pros: None Cons: Poor wear, would not stay in balance
I bought four of these. Two days later I had to go back due to bad vibrations at highway speeds. They had to re-balance and it was good. About 6 months later I noticed cupping on the inside of the front tires. I replaced the shocks and had them rotated...
Worst tire I have ever owned by walkman4 ,May 09 '05
Pros: Look nice Cons: Terrible to balance, wear out fast and not high quality, possibly even unsafe.
They are terrible to balance and very rough ride. At around 25,000 miles the tread just fell off of one of the tires as I was driving down the highway. I have never seen a tire do this before. They were very well taken care of rotated and balanced. They seem to wear out quickly also. I would not recommend this tire and would not purchase a pathfinder tire again.
Pros: Look good Cons: rough ride , terrible to balance , poor wet traction
These were sold as a quality replacement for the Goodyears that came on my F150 . I found them hard to keep balanced even with regular maintanance and rotation . My truck has the 4.3l V8 and a 5speed manual tranny . I was constantly spinnig the tires on wet pavement . The traction is very poor on wet pavement and the ride was not as smooth as it should have been . I will never purchase Pathfinders again.
Pros: Cheap Look nice Cons: poor tread wear short life bad traction after about 15,000 miles
I only got about 25,000 miles out of these tires on a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT. The tires started out great, I left on an out of state trip the day after I had them put on. They handled great, no noise and I was very satisfied. Then we came to the 15,000 mile mark and things began to go downhill. I noticed that the traction was becoming increasingly worse, even in light drizzle I could feel my truck getting loose. The tread wear at that point began to rapidly wear as well. Shortly after my left rear tire began losing pressure. Discount tire "fixed" this tire several times but it still would be flat a week after inflation. These tires are horrible. I am replacing them today with Firestone Destination LE, hopefully they are better.
Didn't perform to the salesman's standards by gmkunz ,Nov 12 '03
Pros: Nice ride; relatively quiet. Cons: Shorter than expected tread life.
I bought these tires with high hopes of getting more than the 45K miles I got out of my factory Goodyears. The salesman assured me they were better, but a mere 30K miles later & relatively consistent maintenance, they're pretty much done, especially with the Colorado winter right around the corner. I could probably squeeze another summer out of them, but a definite 'no' for winter driving.
Pros: Good wet-weather
Great handling
Ok wear Cons: Mediocre off-road performance
I have more than 20,000 miles on a set of these tires, with no appreciable wear to speak of. These include on and off-road miles.
The tires performance on-road is impeccable, especially when you consider the price. Wet-weather handling is good to very good, and handling is very stable without being harsh. Off-road performance leaves a bit to be desired. The treads don't clean out well in mud, however, on dry trails or sand, the tire performs fairly well.
Great for the casual off-road vehicle that spends most of it's life on-road.
Nice ride but you will replace them soon by az12345 ,Sep 07 '03
Pros: Nice ride Cons: SHORT life
This tire was rated for 50,000 miles and I barely got 20,000 miles out of them. I took great care to rotate them every 5-6k and maintained accurate tire pressure but this purchase was very disappointing. I have replaced with Michelin and wrote to Pathfinder about the lackluster results. I am interested if they will respond to my letter.
Pathfinder TIres are Dangerous by metal_pro ,Aug 25 '08
Pros: Smooth ride when they are new and thats about it Cons: Will not last that long and very dangerous. Buyer beware
Had purchased new Pathfinder Sport SUV tires at Americas Tire Center for my 2007 Silverado truck. Had the tires for a duration of 10,000 miles and my truck started to make rough noises from underneath. I thought the roads were too rough and then I drove on a newly paved Freeway and had the same problem. I turned my wheels to the left to inspect them. There are huge bubbles next to the inner tread, it appears that they are going to peel off soon. Im going to Americas Tire Store to see what they are going to do about it and then Im writing the letters
