The last time I went to get my haircut (in August), I asked the stylist for some recommendations for shampoos to help my terrible scalp. My dandruff problem has gotten so bad that I can't wear dark clothing without a snow storm on my shoulders. She ...

Pros: A real help for problem scalps. Cons: I did not care for the scent.
I found this product at Cost Cutters. It was recommended to me by my friend who is a Cosmetologist. I had heard of an old wife's tale and decided to buy my children a shampoo that contains tea tree oil. I made the decision to buy Paul Mitchell: ...
Pros: Great smell, quality ingredients, leaves hair looking shiny and feeling soft. Cons: Not cheap, may not be the best for color treated hair.
Recently my sister dyed her hair at home. It came out fine, but her hair had started looking quite oily and greasy. I thought it may have been her scalps reaction to the fist time she'd ever dyed her hair, compounded with the fact that she's loyally used ...
Pros: helps dry itchy scalp, especially when caused by eczema Cons: expensive, leaves hair brittle and not as soft, smell clashes with other products
I have eczema, and over the past few years one of the areas most affected has been my scalp. The frigid temperatures of recent winters have exacerbated this problem, resulting in a lot more itchiness than normal. Both my dermatologist and my hairdresser ...

Pros: Smells great; refreshing to use; cleans well Cons: Does not 'strengthen' hair
My aunt is a beautician, and so we often get either samples or recommendations of new products. I think that's how my mom came across Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Special Shampoo.
It smells minty--like chocolate covered York peppermint patties....
Pros: Herbal smell. Shiny hair. Lots of body. Cons: More expensive than other PM products.

The only shampoo I will ever buy by dldbrou ,Aug 08 '06
Pros: Stop scalp from itching and flaking Cons: Hard to find. Should be offered in more stores not just salons.
I have been to the best dermatologist in my area with different opinions as to why my scalp itches and flakes. They usually say stress is the main culprit and recommend a tar shampoo. This usually strips my hair and makes it stink and feel like straw. I have discovered that Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner has almost completely eliminated my problem. I believe that I have an allergic reaction to the fragrances in shampoos and conditioners. I know I am allergic to perfume so this assumption seemed logical to me. I have been using this product for at least two years with great success and the only time my head breaks out is when I go to a beauty salon and let them use their product. I can use this product every day without damaging my hair. I have been told many times that I have very healthy and shiny hair. They always ask what do I do. I always say, "Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner with every shampoo."
