Pros: Single and Humbucking tone, quiet, beautiful Cons: pricey, rotary control knob an issue
When it all started there was Les Paul, and Leo Fender. Sure there were others of note, but Leo Fender & Les Paul pioneered the electric guitar into the instrument that it is today. So pervasive was their influence and innovation, it kept two companies...
Pros: Amazing Pick-ups, Beautiful In Every Way Cons: None
Perfection is truly a rare gem. I can't say how happy I am to actually own this guitar. I bought it for $2,000 in Chicago. I was thinking about buying either a Gibson Les Paul or the PRS Custom 24... Well, based on my tastes in music, I went for the PRS...
Pros: Rich appearance, ergonomic design, refined tone Cons: Few, except my own subjective attitudes about the tone of thick maple caps
I bought a Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 back in '94, and at least one significant change has been made since then, but I believe it to be on the whole the same instrument they are producing now. Mine was made in the last year or so that PRS occupied their...
Pros: A beautiful guitar from its construction down to its aesthetics Cons: Not recommended for those with health conditions
Ever wonder what it feels like to hold royalty? Well I have and until I touched this guitar I had no clue an instrument could ever have this strong of an effect on a human body.
My knees felt weak, my heart skipped a beat, my breathing became...
Pros: Smooth playability, and round yet crisp sound! Cons: Price is a little high, but you really get what you pay for!
I am currently eyeing a 6 string, scarlet red, 24 fret PRS Custom guitar. I first noticed the guitar in the more expensive section of the guitar store that I frequent, one: because of the incredibly bright color, and two: because of it's price. After I...
Pros: Its looks nice, its lightweight Cons: Its overpriced and overated
In this review I will crush the people out there who think this guitar is godly for quite simply it is not. Most of my fact come from http://www.edroman.com/guitar/
home_prs.htm
there you will find even more reasons why PRS is nothing more than a ...
Pros: Stunning eye appeal, effortless playability Cons: I'm not so sure there even are any.
First of all, let me explain why I'm not so sure if there are any "cons" to this guitar. In other reviews by other people, the one thing that almost always gets mentioned is the price. It's been described as expensive, very expensive, pricey or some...
Pros: sturdy as a tree, beautiful tones, beautiful wood Cons: pricy$$$$$
I have owned my PRS custom 24 for 3 years now, it has held up perfectly. The flame maple it beautiful, the color on mine is tobacco sunburst, I highly reccomend it. Now this guitar is quite pricy but this guitar will last you for the rest of your life....
Pros: Looks, sound and feel. Cons: Not able to use both humbuckers in full.
A few years ago, I decided it was time to finally splurge on an upper-end guitar. Prior, I had always played mid-level guitars from relatively trusty brands like Ibanez and Yamaha. I had considered a Les Paul (always loved the sound and feel), but wanted ...
40 years of Playing, tried em all, no contest by gbc151 ,Jun 18 '07
Pros: Clarity, bite, growl, moan, soar, sing Cons: Can only afford one
LP's, all kinds of strats, epi's, gretsch, you name it. This is a beautiful, unique, perfect instrument. It balances warmth with definition, clarity with depth, and ease of play with impeccable craftsmanship. I have the 20th anniversary model with artist package. I have sold lots of stuff after getting bored or wanting something else; I know I won't sell this. My son is happy about this! You have to really try one of these. I did have a PRS Hollowbody II and a Soapbar SE, but sold them both. they weere OK, but nothing like this one. It is the original PRS and there is a reason why the company got off the ground so well.
Pros: holds value
comfortable to play
quality in most aspects Cons: pricey
Yeah they are expensive I would say overpriced. On the other there is a reason why they sell and hold their values. Ofcourse the hand made ones are better. Id like to say something to the guy that says he cant think of anyone good who plays one. What an idiot. First off you've got Santana and if you don't think he is good then how about Mark Tremonti or Dave Navarro? Go out and see some live bands play and you will see PRS guitars all the time. Next time guy think before you say something so idiotic.
