Pros: Fabulous value for the buck in tone and design Cons: None. For the price, it's a great guitar.
One could argue that a guitar company could slap Carlos Santana's name on just about anything and it would sell like hotcakes, regardless of its inherent quality. Not so with the Santana models manufactured by Paul Reed Smith. The flagship of the line ...

Pros: Sweet, mahogany tone. Incredible sustain. Cons: Has nothing that makes it stand out. Boring look.
~~~~SOUND~~~~
The sound is classic Paul Reed Smith. I don't know many axes crafted by PRS that are bad. Beautiful sound, one
that is hard to beat. True, it's not one of the higher models of PRS, but it does the job. Can do most any...
Pros: Cost, Sound, Feel, Quality (in most cases), and Intonation Cons: Not many special features, No carved top such as flame maple or quilt
Pros: Tone Cons: Not that fancy. No Flame top or gold hardware.
Was talking to a new friend about mine serial number B10408 I got back when they first came out in the late 90's and the wood is setting in nicely and have told friends I will sell it when in my estate after I kick. I thought about about upgrading the pickups to the McCarty top of the line or the Gibson 490R/490T, 498T, 496R, 500T 57 Les Paul brittle and ridiculously fat sounding upgrades but liked the stock sound better. I didn't really feel the need to upgrade to locking machine heads either. I have had mine for about 7 years and like it the way it is and the mahogany mortice and tenon neck and body sound more graceful all the time. Carlos Santana knew what he was doing and I applaud him.
