Pros: Excellent tool for filing dogs or cats nails
    Cons: None

Summary: I have two little Chihuahuas. Each has his own specific personality. Unfortunately, my smaller Chi, Max is  fear aggressive. We rescued him, snatched him , right off the euthenasia list at our local shelter. It was hubby who pushed for the adoption, ... read more

Pros: gives a smooth trim, good for someone who has trouble cutting their pet's nails
Cons: slow, bowl fills up too quickly

Summary: I bought this for my boxer. I was so tired of wrestling her to get her nails clipped. I used to work with some groomers, and it ended up being my job to clip all of the dog's nails. It would always break my heart to see the dogs and cats come in there ... read more

  • Not for all pets

Pros: Concept is good. I like the guard.
Cons: Very little power, eats through batteries quickly, won't work on med-large dogs.

Summary: We have 4 dogs at home - 2 big dogs (German Shepherd and a lab mix) and 2 little dogs (Chinese Cresteds). We bought this as an alternative to the guillotene type nail clippers (which always seemed to hurt their toes when we clipped their nails, and it ... read more

  • It Works But Had To Use Clippers One Last Time On Long, Thick Nails

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Feb 15, 2009
Pros: Good for maintaining normal length nails
Cons: Takes ages on over-grown, thick nails

Summary: My fear of cutting my dog's nails with clippers and possibly hurting him was too much sometimes. Therefore, I was initially excited about the prospect of an alternative to conventional clippers.  After seeing Pedi Paws on tv many times, I waited to ... read more

  • Don't waste your money

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Feb 11, 2009
    Pros: Quiet
Cons: Poor power, stops dead if too much pressure applied, drains batteries fast

Summary: We have a lot of cats and a Golden Retreiver.  I thought this would be a better way to trim their claws.  I was wrong.I bought the deluxe version of Pedipaws.  I found out quickly that it takes 10 times as long to trim claws compared ... read more

  • Pedi Paws is much much much better than trimming!

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Feb 5, 2009
    Pros: Good power
    Large claws too
    Inexpensive - pays for itself
    No pain like the clippers
Cons: The only con I know of - is that I did not buy it sooner.

Summary: Golly, I just can not say enough good things about Pedi Paws.  I was skeptical - kept eyeing it at the store - but didn't want to fork out the $20 for it.  Kept thinking - if it is battery operated, perhaps it will just "fuzz out" on me - ... read more

    Pros: -Very affordable

    Cons: -Makes the pet nervous
    -Not safe

    Pros: no pros
Cons: not worth the time effort or money for medium sized dog

Summary: I tried to use pedi paw on a small beagle.  Not enough power to file nails... very slow and stops.  Takes a long time.  Not worth the money or time to accustom dog to the pedi paw.  I was even dumb enough to buy new

  • Not powerful enough

Pros: Probably sufficient for small breeds or cats.
Cons: Needs power of a Dremel tool to be effective, and it just doesn't have it.

Summary: Despite the glowing review from "nettiemaria", this unit is not suitable for large (and perhaps medium) breeds. Motor is way too weak. Wheel stops dead on large nails, even with minimum pressure. Might be okay for
