  • Peg Perego Prima Viaggio - maybe I can save you a few $

    Oct 27 '04
    Pros: High quality. Good ratings.
Cons: Bad handle. Lame canopy. Price.

Summary: The Peg Perego Prima Viaggio is a rear facing, detachable base infant car seat that also combines with many Peg Perego strollers to form a travel system. This product is high quality and gets good safety ratings. I bought it as the other half of the ... read more

  • We should have bought it before

    Aug 19 '07
Pros: Baby likes it, washable, well made
Cons: price (consider buying previous year model on the web)

Summary: We love this car seat. It may be specific per child, but our baby son did not like the older car seat (we got from friends) - securing him in it was a challenge, and he usually complained very clearly after a short while. He is now 10 weeks old. We ... read more

  • Standard seat at a premium price

    Mar 12 '07
    Pros: waterproof fabric, straps
Cons: Small, seat anchors difficult to use, very EXPENSIVE

Summary: I purchased this seat for my son before he was born. I bought the Peg Perego P3 stroller and this infant seat as a set. The fabric choices are nice, the fabric is a great quality but other than that, the seat was just like any other less than $100 ... read more

  • Would never recommend

    Oct 05 '06
Pros: nice pattern and safety record
Cons: Hood is too short, does not fit into stroller properly, unfomfortable handle.

Summary: As an experienced mother - for the 3rd time, I am very disappointed with this product. After going through two children, my previous Graco stroller gave up. So I went shopping for a new one and fell in love with the Peg. Of course, I just had to ... read more

  • Great Car seat, a bit of a hassle

    Jun 15 '06
Pros: Comfortable, safe, nice color options/patterns, easy to snap in and out of the base
Cons: base is heavy, awkward to carry, sun canopy is awful

Summary: My daughter is still in this seat at 8 months old and it has been fine, but not fantastic. The sun canopy is terrible, never stays taut and really doesn't block much sun. Traveling is not so easy when you are in anything other than your own car. This ... read more

  • Close to perfect car set.

    Dec 28 '05
Pros: Highest safety ratings , quality built, very comfortable
Cons: Weird canopy mechanism , Handle needs both hands to adjust

Summary: I bought this car seat because it makes good team with the Peg Perego A3 Stroller which I absolutely love. Highlights: Highest safety ratings according to Consumer Reports. 5 point safety belt. Very comfortable for your baby , acts like a ... read more

  • Secure, secure, secure!

    Aug 09 '05
Pros: Secure in base and stroller, soft, easy to clean.
Cons: Outgrew it in 5 months.

Summary: We bought the Primo Viaggio Infant Car Seat to go with our Tender Twin stroller in 2004. The car seat had LATCH and was easy to install (or so my husband claimed, it took him 15 min. and the fire dept. said it was perfectly installed when they ... read more

  • Very Happy with Primo Viaggio

    Jul 17 '05
Pros: Makes for an amazing travel system with the Venezia SA stroller.
Cons: Tricky (but doable) to get the base to latch tightly in a 2004 Subaru.

Summary: We purchased the Primo Viaggio first and foremost because we wanted the Peg Perego Venezia SA stroller and wanted to take advantage of the travel system ability. My baby just turned 6 months old, and I learned yesterday at her well baby visit that she ... read more

  • Beware of Installation in Non-Latch Equipped Vehicles

    Mar 11 '05
Pros: Works well with the Aria stroller we bought.
Cons: Nearly impossible to install properly and securely in our car.

Summary: After many attempts by myself, my husband, my local fire department officials, and a certified car safety technician recommended by our insurance company, I have concluded that this car seat simply cannot be installed properly in my 2002 Subaru Forester. ... read more

  • A bit disappointed for the price that I paid.

    Feb 25 '05
Pros: Great colors scheme and easily able to attach to the car base.
Cons: Expensive and horrible carrying handle.

Summary: I fell in love with the Peg Perego Aria Stroller and therefore had to buy a compatible infant car seat. I was looking for a more compact car seat and infant carrier since I had a smaller vehicle and not a large SUV. The only compatible car seat for the ... read more

  • Quality in Peg Perego line, but car seat only okay

    Sep 12 '04
Pros: The seat was highly rated in Consumer Reports safety tests.
    Cons: See former section.

Summary: We bought the car seat mainly because it went with our stroller, which we figured we would be using a lot longer than the infant car seat. We bought the Classico Atlantico stroller, which we love. The car seat, however is only ok and I preferred the ... read more

  • Ho' Hum

    Aug 14 '04
Pros: Good quality, nice colours, good stabilizers for flat surfaces and easy to install.
Cons: Awful carrying handle, sub-par hood, straps would tangle and price.

Summary: I've heard lots of good things about Peg Perego items and their sturdiness, so when we decided to purchase a Peg stroller, naturally we purchased the car seat - a Primo Viaggio. Well, my daughter is a big girl, and at the age of three months she was ... read more

  • High priced, not sure of value

    Jun 02 '04
Pros: Stylish, prestige piece, excellent fabric
Cons: Difficult to level, short length, hard to level, slides

Summary: We purchased the Primo Viaggio (2002 model), when we purchased our Pliko stroller. They matched and the Primo Viaggio seemed substantial and sturdy. We had one car which was latch capable and a second that was not. Our seat came with a non-latch base, ... read more

  • Just an OK car seat that went with an excellent stroller

    Apr 26 '04
Pros: Quality construction, secure, goes with an excellent stroller.
Cons: Horrible handle, short hood, frustrating upper buckle, expensive

Summary: Right off the bat, the Primo Viaggio was not my favorite car seat, but it's what was directly compatible with my top choice stroller: the Peg Perego Venezia. It's a good, well built car seat with quality construction, but the practical operation isn't as ... read more

  • Very Disappointed
