Pros: Virtually unlimited features the create the shot, print, or video that you desire. Cons: You need to read the info, or you can mistakenly switch settings.
Although I've long been into photography, I hesitated in buying a digital camera. Two reasons for this: I doubted the quality vs. SLR cameras, and my own lack of total understanding of the digital age. My fears proved unfounded, however, when I took ...

Pros: affordable, tons of features Cons: Can't think of anything
I purchased this camera a few weeks ago to replace a lesser quality camera. It is amazing what you get with this camera for the price. I paid less than $200 and have been absolutely thrilled. The camera has a number of settings to choose from that ...

Pros: Excellent picture quality, uses AA batteries, sensitivity up to ISO 1600, very user friendly manual. Cons: shutterlag, 3.1 lens; comp. cameras have 2.8
I had been thinking about getting a digital camera, & my wife surprised me with this camera for Christmas. This camera is very user friendly. It is basically a point & shoot camera, but it has lots of picture mode options, such as 2 macro modes allowing ...

Pentax M20 Digital Camera review for the M20
by celtic1947 ,Jan 25 '07
Pros: ease of taking pictures right out of the box. Cons: No view finder.
This is the first digital camera that is really foolproof.by that I mean that even a person as camera foolish can get great pictures from it.
The 7 mp. makes this one of the greatest cameras for its low price.I have had various digital cameras in the past (Panasonic,Sony,Cannon,Olympus) but this one beats them all hands down.Every setting has a complete explanation with it,so that you know whats going on before you take the picture.

Great little camera
by gr1950 ,Jan 28 '08
Pros: Cheap batteries with good life. Easy to use. Cons: Smallish buttons for fat fingers!
Have used this camera for over a year and have had no problems at all. Battery life seems quite good and picture quality is excellent. Camera has many more features than I will ever use!

Pentax Optio M20 digital camera
by arandal ,May 24 '07
Pros: Does an excellent job with distances up to 40 or 50 feet.
Pictures sharp. Cons: Screen reflects too much light in bright conditions, therefore subject very difficult to see.
Cost from our supplier (under £70 incl. delivery)was very attractive comparing it to similar devices from 'known' makers. Excellent spec. for the price.
A little 'fiddly' due to it's size and shape and you need to beware when switching on as the lens could cause you to drop it until used to it. Suggest the wrist strap is always around your wrist for safety.
Could have done with a little gripping material built into case, maybe small rubber strips or similar.
Would have liked even a cheap case supplied with the camera.
Found long distance scenes difficult and resulting picture not too sharp, probably due to hand shake (?)
The light reflection in the screen was probably the biggest problem. When taking pictures in bright daylight it is difficult to see the scene as it appears very 'misty'. Obviously the cost must reduce the odd feature, but it needs a viewing window as well as the screen.
Despite all these criticisms I would recommend the camera especially at the price I paid.

Great Camera
by birdnest61 ,Nov 16 '08
Pros: Very clear nice photos Cons: The only problem is the latch on the battery case doesnt work.
I have had this camera for over a year and love it. I have a bigger expensive Kodak but this is nice to put in pocket and run. I think the picture quality is very good. I make larger prints too and they are clear. The only problem I have encountered is the latch on the battery case does not seem to work. No one else has metioned it so it must just be an issue with my camera. I found a strong rubber band and that holds it shut for me. Wish I did not have to deal with it though.

not bad at all
by stocktrader ,Feb 27 '07
Pros: large LCD screen, uses AA's, lots of optional settings Cons: no way to print/burn in date on pics, uses Quicktime for video.
good camera, has lots of optional settings. I prefer the MOV format over quicktime for compatibilty and memory usage. I needed a camera that can burn in the time and date on the pics for business purposes. This basic feature is not to be found on this one. Quality of the photos is adequate, but I don't find it superior to a generic camera I have been using.
