Pros: Small, cute, packed with features. Cons: Can't find anything yet.
After three years of faithful service from my Kodak DC210 ( http://www.epinions.com/content_18740907652) I decided that it was definitely time for a new digital camera. Preferably something smaller, less embarrassing,...

Pros: Small size, appears sturdy, reasonably fast shot to shot, good lens Cons: Pictures not as sharp as other 4MP cameras, no video out, No sound.
There are several motives for buying a digital camera;
one is price - everything you really want is about a thousand dollars more than you are willing to spend. This camera though expensive is I feel good value.
another is Picture quality -...

Pros: Lightweight, sleek, compact, and feature-packed, 11mb onboard memory. Cons: No external flash options, no memory card included.

The Pentax Optio 430RS is a Gem Digital Camera.
by iduck ,Dec 27 '03
Pros: Small, compact and an ease to use. Lithium battery holds a charge very long. Cons: Internal memory is good for about 8-12 shots, upgrade with a memory CF flash-card.
The ease of use is amazing. I was looking for something compact and lite, but powerful enough to take crisp shots. This is it. I've taken over 800 pictures in a short period, both inside, and outside and the results are magnificent. Quick shutter release and quick results are a positive with this camera. The use of the 4-way controller to display the pictures or do something with them is an ease. I'm sold!!! Pentax is it. I would recommend buying the memory flash-card. The 11 mb built in memory is O.K., but add the CF memory and your home free. The lithium battery seems to last forever. They spared nothing with this camera. As you can tell... I like it.

I HAVE USED 35MM CAMERAS...
by raymond_dt3003 ,Feb 08 '03
I HAVE USED 35MM CAMERAS FOR YEARS. I TIRED OF CARRYING CAMERA, LENSES, AND FILM AND CHOSE TO GO DIGITAL. I LOOKED AT OPTIONS, DISCUSSED THEM WITH DEALER, CHOSE PENTAX 430S. I WAS AMAZED AND DELIGHTED WITH THE RESOLUTION AND QUALITY OF SPECTACULAR 8 BY 10 PRINTS. PENTAX IS ENORMOUSLY FLEXIBLE WITH MULTIPLE OPTIONS. IT IS WELL SUITED TO THE POINT AND SHOOT PHOTOGRAPHER AND TO THE ADVANCED AMATEUR. I AM DELIGHTED WITH THIS CAMERA.
