Pros: Inexpensive, full-featured manual SLR Cons: Multiple exposure missing
Summary: I recently purchased a Pentax ZX-M camera, and I'm very happy with it! It's got just about all the features that I want in an SLR camera, and several "luxury" features that I'm still getting used to!
Previously, I had been using a ... read more

Pros: Great camera for photography students; or creative photographers. Cons: For a camera to be manual it should be totally manual; this is not.
Summary: I once saw an ad that listed the Pentax ZXM as the new K 1000; honestly the only thing that I can say about that is "I don't think so...". Please do not get me wrong I am no saying that the ZXM is a bad camera as a matter of fact it is a very good ... read more

Pros: Great Features
Great Ergonomics
Nice Selection of Lenses
Quiet and Lightweight
Attractive Styling Cons: Letters rub off over time!!!
Plastic Lens Mount
No Spot Meter
Expensive Electronic Cable Release
Summary: This is one of my favorite cameras ever. Needing a back to basics camera for a photography class I fell in love instantly with the ZX-M. It was one the lightest SLR I've ever held in my hand and the knobs and dials are so much more intuitive than ... read more

Pros: Lets you fully manipulate your picture. Cons: Not a digital camera... *Har*
Summary: This camera is basically the photography student's dream. It lets you control your f-stop, shutter speed, it can use manually selected film speeds, it's got a timer, and rapid-shot features. The f-stop, for those who haven't taken photography, is the ... read more

Pros: everything Cons: nothing
Summary: I have an older version of this great camera, but it works just about the same as the newer, flashier, camera. It has some great features that are really exciting to use and experiment with. It is kinda hard to master, but it is pretty easy to use once ... read more

Pros: Very durable, the usual features, convenient features allow you to adjust how automatic it is, CHEAP (for an SLR). Cons: Nothing special about it really.
Summary: If you are a beginner or intermediate photographer looking for a quality single lens reflex camera, but you don't want to spend too much, then THIS IS FOR YOU! This was exactly the position I was in about a year ago when I purchased my Pentax ZX-M. I ... read more

Pros: lightweight, full manual/(almost)full auto function, tons of features! Cons: None that I consider a problem (unless you like autofocus)
Summary: I discovered the Pentax ZX-M while shopping for a back up camera body to have on hand in case my other body died (and to have different film speeds/types available quickly). Initially I was not looking for a camera with auto advance, as it is just ... read more

Pros: Manual and automatic settings, ease to operate, compatible with addons, old technology combined with new Cons: Slow focusing
Summary: I actually received this camera as a gift for a birthday. I had always wanted a good SLR camera, easy enough to operate but yet be able to set f-stops and zoom. This camera is great for outdoors without a flash, and indoors with one (sometimes without ... read more

Pros: good feature set, low-cost, durable, good lense selection Cons: no auto-focus
Summary: I am fairly experienced in photography, working mainly with my father's equipment up until recently. I have limited funding, so I decided to get a Pentax ZX-M with a compliment of lenses. His equipment included a Minolta SRT-101 (a tank!) and a Contax ... read more
